This role offers the opportunity to apply advanced insurance audit expertise while helping maintain accuracy, consistency, and quality across complex audit operations.
The position plays a key role in reviewing premium audits, identifying improvement opportunities, and supporting the development of audit teams.
You will contribute to quality assurance initiatives, analyze audit trends, and help improve processes that impact insurance partners and clients.
The role combines technical audit knowledge, attention to detail, mentorship, and collaboration within a remote environment.
You will work closely with leadership and review teams to ensure compliance with auditing standards and operational excellence.

Accountabilities:

The Senior Premium Insurance Audit Reviewer will perform complex audit reviews, provide quality oversight, and support the improvement of auditing practices. This role requires strong insurance knowledge, analytical ability, and the ability to mentor peers while maintaining high standards of accuracy and service.

  • Perform comprehensive reviews across various premium audit types, prioritizing complex and aging audits within assigned queues.
  • Conduct secondary and advanced-level reviews requiring strong quality assurance expertise and insurance audit knowledge.
  • Monitor audit workflows, identify bottlenecks, and support initiatives to improve efficiency and turnaround times.
  • Review self-service audits to ensure eligibility, accuracy, and compliance with established quality requirements.
  • Analyze audit reports, return data, and performance trends to identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements.
  • Support quality monitoring strategies through data analysis, reporting, and collaboration with leadership teams.
  • Review audit files to identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities for auditor improvement.
  • Communicate review findings and recommendations to leadership and audit teams.
  • Conduct test audit reviews for designated insurance partners and support quality validation programs.
  • Mentor new reviewers through onboarding support, shadowing sessions, and ongoing knowledge sharing.
  • Participate in training initiatives, team meetings, and operational projects to support broader team goals.
  • Promote a collaborative, solution-oriented culture focused on quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced insurance audit professional with strong review capabilities and a passion for accuracy and process improvement. You should be comfortable working independently, adapting to change, and supporting colleagues in a fast-paced remote environment.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of experience reviewing insurance audits or a combination of premium auditing and audit review experience.
  • Experience with workers’ compensation and general liability insurance audits preferred.
  • Knowledge of premium audit processes, classifications, and quality standards.
  • Experience using audit management platforms such as Nexus or similar systems.
  • Preferred WCIRB CompEssentials certification or comparable industry credentials.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, evaluate data, and recommend improvements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and evolving business needs.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to provide constructive feedback and collaborate effectively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a remote team environment.
