Position Title: Senior Permit Coordinator
$52,500 to $87,500 annually DOE

Job Summary
The Senior Permit Coordinator will lead a team of permit coordinators responsible for all permit activity in
Ziply Fiber’s footprint. This position will be the face of Ziply fiber to all permitting agencies. Duties include
permit tracking reporting, applying for permits with all respective state, county, and municipal authorities,
tracking permit progress, and reporting to leadership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee the schedule, assignment of work, production, and overall performance of contract
permit coordinators.
• Review permit application, workprints, and project schedule for accuracy. Submit permit
application to the appropriate permitting agency.
• Meet with permitting agency to review and understand their permitting requirements. Have
frequent check-in with municipal permit persons to assess quality concerns and manage
relationship with the agency.
• Prepare check requests and process invoice payment documentation in coordination with the
accounting department.
• Work closely with the permitting agencies on the status of permits and ensure they are processed
in a timely manner.
• Track and report on all permits in process, update construction management software when
approved permits are received, and track average permit processing time for each agency.
• Host daily meetings with permit team. Prepare and share daily reports to ensure alignment on
results, expectations, process adherence, and to assist with any issues or concerns.
• Close permits when construction work is complete. Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Responsible for training new permit coordinators.
• Host regular cadence meeting with engineering partners to track status on any permit
deliverables needed, i.e. revised designs, traffic control plans, etc.
• Compile KPI results for their team and present to their Ziply Manager.
• Performs other duties as required to support the business and evolving organization.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum four (4) years’ experience with right of way utility permitting required.
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in lead role capacity highly preferred.
• Utility construction project management experience preferred.
• Must be able to read and understand OSP construction workprints, traffic control plans, property
records, and legal documents relating to easements, Right-of-Way, etc.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with heavy volume.
• Ability to meet reporting deadlines.
• Ability to communicate effectively and concisely both verbally and in writing.
• Advanced Computer proficiency, particularly with spreadsheet software.
• Works well in a team environment
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Follow directions from a supervisor and interact well with co-workers.
• Understand and follow posted work rules and procedures.

Work Environment
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a
computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work is primarily a modern office
setting.
