This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a SENIOR PENETRATION TESTER (Remote) in the United States.

This role focuses on performing advanced penetration testing, threat hunting, and security assessments across cloud, network, web, and mobile environments. You will play a critical part in identifying vulnerabilities, improving security postures, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The position combines hands-on technical work, advisory responsibilities, and knowledge-sharing activities, including team training, tool development, and community engagement. You will collaborate closely with technical teams and clients to deliver actionable, high-quality security solutions. This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented cybersecurity professional who thrives in a remote, collaborative, and fast-evolving environment.


  • Accountabilities
  • Execute penetration tests and threat-hunting exercises in accordance with NIST, OWASP, MITRE, and other industry standards.
  • Identify and validate exploitable vulnerabilities across cloud, network, web, and mobile systems.
  • Perform social engineering campaigns, including phishing, spear-phishing, and pretext calls, and develop supporting tools like landing pages and payloads.
  • Develop comprehensive Rules of Engagement (ROEs), test plans, and client-ready reports, presentations, and recommendations.
  • Lead QA reviews for reports and ROEs, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to compliance requirements.
  • Create and maintain penetration testing frameworks, training programs, and engagement debriefs for team knowledge sharing.
  • Develop, manage, and optimize the team’s toolset while evaluating and acquiring new security tools as needed.
  • Participate in cybersecurity research, thought leadership, blog posts, and community events to stay at the forefront of the field.

  • Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in penetration testing or cybersecurity assessments.
  • Relevant certifications such as OSCP, OSCE, OSWP, CEH, or CRTO.
  • Strong expertise with tools including Kali Linux, Cobalt Strike, Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nessus, and Social Engineering Toolkit.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms, coding/scripting (Python, Ruby, PowerShell, Bash), and SQL testing.
  • Solid understanding of security frameworks and standards (NIST, OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK).
  • Experience leading team trainings, developing methodologies, and mentoring junior testers.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills for client deliverables and internal collaboration.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
