We are seeking a skilled Senior Network Observability Consultant to design, implement, and manage observability solutions that provide deep visibility into our network infrastructure. This role is critical for ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of our hybrid cloud and on-prem environments. Experience with ExtraHop is essential for success in this position.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain observability platforms using tools such as ExtraHop, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Splunk, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Create dashboards, alerts, and data pipelines to monitor network performance, latency, packet loss, and throughput.
  • Integrate observability tools with incident management systems (e.g., ServiceNow, MoogSoft).
  • Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to identify telemetry sources (e.g., SNMP, NetFlow, sFlow, syslog).
  • Define and track SLOs, SLIs, and KPIs for network health.
  • Implement automated anomaly detection and diagnostics using AIOps or rule-based systems.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and contribute to blameless postmortems.
  • Promote a culture of observability, automation, and performance engineering.


Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in network engineering or observability roles.
  • Hands-on experience with ExtraHop Reveal(x) or similar NDR (Network Detection and Response) platforms.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, packet analysis, and telemetry.
  • Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) and automation tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.


$170,000 - $200,000 a year

The compensation range indicated in this posting reflects the On-Target Earnings (“OTE”) for this role, which includes a base salary and any applicable target bonus amount. This OTE range may vary based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
