About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Medical Informatics Specialist who will be responsible for leading the delivery of medical consults in the oncology space.. The Senior Medical Informatics Specialist will be responsible for working with internal and external stakeholders to build real-world evidence to support clinical and commercial decisions. To excel at this role, a candidate should have extensive experience in oncology clinical workflows and have an extensive history in designing and utilizing longitudinal health records to advance care, accelerate research, or improve institutional operations. The Senior Medical Informatics Specialist will NOT be providing medical advice/services but rather serving as a human-technology interface. Please note, this is a full-time remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Atropos Health digital consults with an Oncology focus to life science partners, physicians, clinical researchers, and other health leaders. 

  • Working collaboratively with physicians and clinical researchers to address hypotheses across various disease and treatment areas, leveraging the Atropos platform

  • Partner closely with Atropos’ Product team to provide client feedback and suggestions for new features and enhancements.

  • Present or co-present collaborative work at conferences and author articles within peer-reviewed journals

Minimum Qualifications

  • Clinical training (MD, RN, PharmD, PA, etc) with specialization in Oncology and at least 2 year of post-training clinical work in the oncology setting

  • The ideal candidate has a quantitative background, including but not limited to clinical informatics, bioinformatics, computer science, statistics, applied math, physics, or engineering.

  • Knowledge of clinical terminology standards (ICD, SNOMED, LOINC, etc) strongly preferred

  • High degree of critical thinking and independent problem solving

  • Ability to work with a team of highly skilled experts

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Reporting

The Medical Informatics Associate reports directly to the Director, Medical Informatics (Oncology) - TBH.

Location

We are a remote first company! You must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. We cannot support visa sponsorship at this time.
