While assigned to the Land and Air Defense Requirements and Capabilities team, the Senior Manager, Sustainment and Services - Naval Power will be responsible for supporting sustainment related business development activities and creating new aftermarket sustainment opportunities to drive top line growth of Raytheon Naval Power and Product Support product lines. The Sr. Manager serves as a Product Support lead for external aftermarket sustainment captures. The Sr. Manager is responsible for supporting Naval Power international and domestic captures with aftermarket sustainment expertise.  The Sr. Manager is responsible for coordinating aftermarket sustainment solutions across business units, to the Department of Defense under Foreign Military Sales cases and to international customers by leveraging Raytheon solutions and capabilities.

What You Will Do

  • Support of capture teams to include concept of support development, introduction of sustainment capabilities into a capture, identifying and developing integrated sustainment solutions to support a capture, management of New Business Investment (NBI) resources, conducting market assessments, customer relationship management development, and execution of capture strategies for external aftermarket sustainment opportunities in support of business unit growth targets
  • Be accountable for relationships and interactions with internal Raytheon program managers, US Government agencies, and international customers to develop new business, share information, and to immediately resolve issues as required
  • Work closely with other Requirements and Capabilities colleagues, international country teams, RTX Business Units, Raytheon Functional Partners, Life Cycle Engineering, Product Support, and Naval Power programs as appropriate
  • Act as the aftermarket sustainment expert on US Navy and USMC products
  • Establish relationships with Raytheon program management leadership, US Navy and USMC logistics / maintenance leaders, and international sustainment customer decision makers
  • Develop customer, competitor, and market understanding for assigned Naval Power market sub-segment
  • Conduct primary and secondary research to determine US Navy, USMC, and international customer needs and generate aftermarket sustainment business leads by developing relationships and identifying and qualifying new opportunities
  • Develop and implement internal and external customer contact plans
  • Capture key customer and competitive knowledge and share it across the organization
  • Analyze customer information associated with product sustainment and develop customer hot buttons and key performance parameters
  • Work closely with Naval Power program leadership, Product Support Leadership, Life Cycle Engineering Leadership, and capture managers to provide customer knowledge and strategic support for capture and proposal processes
  • Conduct internal and external customer briefings
  • Lead and support internal Raytheon Gate Reviews Collaborate with RTX Global Government Relations (GGR) at the Federal, State/Local on Public Policy in their advocation and development of new technologies and our solutions

  • Approximately 50% annual domestic and international travel for customer engagements and tradeshows

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 10 years government, defense, aerospace, or related industry experience, or an Advance Degree and a minimum of 7 years’ experience
  • US Navy or USMC Logistics Officer with fleet readiness or aviation readiness experience
  • Government and/or industry requirements generation experience with the Department of Defense
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Understanding of U.S. DoD procurement, fiscal and regulatory environments
  • Business development experience including familiarity with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) acquisition processes
  • Experience with Capture/Gate/Proposal process
  • General sustainment management and US Navy / USMC sustainment experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skill with special focus on cross-cultural issues, ability to successfully manage sensitive political issues

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
