This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Manager, Software Engineering in the United States.

This is a high-impact engineering leadership role focused on building scalable, reliable, and user-centered technology that supports complex, mission-driven healthcare services for children with special health care needs. You will lead and mentor engineering teams while partnering closely with product and cross-functional stakeholders to translate real-world healthcare challenges into effective technical solutions. The role blends hands-on technical leadership with people management and strategic execution in a fast-paced, hypergrowth environment. You will be responsible for driving delivery of cloud-based systems that support virtual-first and in-home care models. This is an opportunity to shape engineering culture, elevate team performance, and directly contribute to improving access to pediatric care at scale. You will operate in a highly collaborative, remote-friendly setting where clarity, speed, and quality of execution are essential.

Accountabilities:

You will lead engineering teams responsible for delivering scalable and reliable systems that support tech-enabled pediatric care services.

  • Build, manage, and mentor 1–2 software engineering teams, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive execution of the technical roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of high-value, data-informed product increments.
  • Translate business and clinical needs into clear technical requirements, architecture, and delivery plans in collaboration with product stakeholders.
  • Oversee design and implementation of cloud-based systems with a focus on scalability, stability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and career development support to engineers and peers within the broader technology organization.
  • Partner across functions to estimate scope, define timelines, and ensure alignment between technical and business priorities.
  • Contribute to organization-wide engineering initiatives aimed at improving delivery processes, system quality, and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

This role requires strong technical leadership experience combined with the ability to operate in fast-moving, mission-driven environments.

  • 9–12+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 5+ years managing engineering teams.
  • Prior experience in a hypergrowth technology environment, with healthcare experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead teams working across modern cloud-based stacks (AWS preferred).
  • Strong communication skills with experience working effectively in remote and asynchronous environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and foster high-performance, growth-oriented team cultures.
  • Experience balancing rapid prototyping with the design of scalable, production-ready systems.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and independently drive clarity across technical and product domains.
  • Experience contributing to or leading engineering-wide transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with applying AI tools or approaches to improve engineering productivity and organizational effectiveness.

Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary ranging from $190,000 to $220,000, plus annual bonus eligibility
  • Employee equity purchase program (where applicable)
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Healthcare and dependent care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
  • Company-funded Health Savings Account (HSA)
  • 401(k) plan with 4% employer match, fully vested from day one
  • Employer-paid short-term and long-term disability coverage
  • Life insurance coverage at 1x annual salary
  • 20 days of paid time off, plus 10 company holidays and 2 floating holidays
  • Paid new parent leave
  • Additional benefits and perks shared during the hiring process
