ServiceTitan is seeking an ambitious, motivated Senior Manager - Revenue Accounting to play a key mission-critical role within our Revenue Accounting Team. The position reports directly to the Senior Director, Revenue Accounting but will have close interaction with the Billing/Revenue Operations, Technical Accounting, Deal Desk, Tax and cross-functional accounting teams.

What you'll do: 

  • Lead the Revenue Accounting function while partnering closely with Technical Revenue Accounting and Revenue Operations/Billing to ensure all revenue is recognized in accordance with ASC 606

  • Oversee the monthly and annual revenue close activities,  including review of journal entries, contract modifications, account reconciliations and performing analytical review and fluctuation analysis on revenue to support accurate and timely financial reporting. 

  • Oversee end-to-end accounting for partner revenue workstreams (accruals, communication with partners, forecast vs. actual analyses, etc.)

  • Manage the contract review process, in collaboration with Deal Desk and Sales functions, to ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with GAAP and revenue accounting policies are applied consistently.

  • Ensure internal controls for revenue accounting are adequate and operating effectively.

  • Collaborate with colleagues in FP&A to explain variances, provide inputs to forecast, and identify trends in revenue

  • Support ongoing implementation and testing efforts related to new financial systems (Workday, Salesforce CPQ/Billing, etc.) and partner with acquired business units to identify requirements to migrate revenue and billing processes into financial systems

  • Assist with preparation and review of revenue-related schedules, financial statements, and disclosures for internal and external reporting purposes.

  • Provide thought leadership on revenue processes, policies, and procedures that leverage technology, maximize efficiency, and provide scalability to support company 

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development for the Revenue team.

  • Participate in special projects, initiatives, and ad hoc requests related to revenue accounting.

What you'll need: 

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience, CPA preferred

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with 3+ years in public accounting and at least 3 years in a people manager role

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles 

  • Prior experience in a high-growth SaaS, software, or technology-related company is highly preferred

  • Highly organized detail-oriented with experience managing multiple priorities, large-scale projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong leadership skills with experience leading, coaching and developing a team in a rapid growth environment

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel 

  • Experience with Workday Financials is a plus

ServiceTitan is committed to fair and equitable compensation for all of our employees. We thoughtfully consider a wide range of factors when determining individual compensation. The expected salary range for this role for candidates residing in the United States is between $126,000 USD - $182,000 USD. Compensation for candidates residing outside the United States will vary by location and the specific salary range will be discussed during the hiring process. Actual compensation for an individual may vary depending on skills, performance over time, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to the base salary, the total compensation package also includes an annual bonus, equity and a holistic suite of benefits.
