Senior Manager, Parts Strategy
Senior Manager, Parts Strategy owns the strategic and tactical direction for the development and execution of parts programs and processes that ensure profitable growth, cost controls, customer satisfaction and loyalty to the Lithia ecosystem. As the Lithia store network continues to expand, merger & acquisition support will be a core function of this team. The role ensures that the Lithia network is well positioned for the parts needs of the future, ensuring that market trends are tracked, and long-term, future focused decisions are made.
The Senior Manager, Parts Strategy reports to the Director, Customer Service and works in close partnership with the Operations Leadership and Fixed Operations Team Members.
Responsibilities
- In partnership with the Operations Team members, develop a customer and profit centric parts strategy, aligned with OEM guidelines, that can be rolled out within the Lithia store network.
- Collaborate within the Lithia organization to develop an organizational parts strategy, identify key stakeholders and establish regular interactions.
- Foster relationships with all stakeholders and especially store leadership to support and achieve the parts strategy.
- Track market trends and identify opportunities to ensure Lithia remains competitive and ahead of its competitors in the physical and digital B2C, B2B and D2D space.
- Develop and track an annual operating plan for the overall parts business.
- Identify and introduce parts inventory metrics to measure Lithia’s overall inventory health, balancing fill rate and cost controls.
- Manage store parts processes and systems ensuring standard processes and systems across the network.
- Manage and conduct annual store physical parts inventory via internal employees and 3rd party support.
- Manage parts inventory through store acquisitions, including confirmation of inventory purchases Lithia at acquisition. As well as divestiture parts inventory confirmation.
- Develop and conduct part manager training and onboarding.
- Manage significant cross-functional projects to ensure goals and timeline are met.
- Manage, measure and direct the appropriate vendors as required. Where appropriate, identify aftermarket parts oppertunities within the Lithia network.
- Develop and deliver presentations to executive management.
- Drive innovation and change within the Lithia Store Network.
- Manage, lead and direct a team ensuring alignment to the overall vision and strategy.Â
- Conduct regular staff meetings to ensure communication of strategy and resolution of issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in science or business is required. MBA is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years management and leadership positions.Â
- Minimum of 10 years Aftersales Experience preferred
- Strong knowledge and project management experience in the areas of profit forecasting, demand planning and inventory replenishment processes and systems.
- Ability to effectively communicate and influence at an executive level.
- Comprehensive knowledge of business operations and strategic planning skills required.Â
- Strong leadership, analytical, mathematical, computer, and organizational skills required.
- Skilled in creative problem-solving techniques including quantitative and optimization analysis.
- Ability to set and analyze budgets, the business plan and capital expenditures required.Â
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.Â
- Successful track record in managing the effective deployment of resources, systems and personnel to enable the achievement of organizational objectives and support the overall growth of the company.
- Ability to manage teams including employee conflict, development and engagement.
- Experience leading a disbursed team across multiple geographies.
- Experience consulting with and building relationships with Store and Home Office leaders
- Capable of regular travel nationwide (50%)

We offer a competitive starting wage that is based on a variety of factors, including the specific role, experience, qualifications, skill set, and education.Â
Position Salary Range: $100,000-170,000/annually
