This position ensures the timely, accurate, and compliant preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP and internal control standards.</p><p data-start="624" data-end="950">The ideal candidate is a strategic and hands-on leader with a strong technical accounting background, deep knowledge of financial reporting requirements, and the ability to manage and improve accounting processes. This person is proactive, adaptable, and driven to foster continuous improvement across the accounting function.</p><p data-start="624" data-end="950"> </p><h3 data-start="957" data-end="981"><strong data-start="961" data-end="981">Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul data-start="982" data-end="2214"><li data-start="982" data-end="1125"><p data-start="984" data-end="1125">Oversee the financial close and reporting process, ensuring timely and accurate GAAP-compliant financial statements and management reports.</p></li><li data-start="1126" data-end="1261"><p data-start="1128" data-end="1261">Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including variance analyses and key performance metrics.</p></li><li data-start="1262" data-end="1425"><p data-start="1264" data-end="1425">Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and controls.</p></li><li data-start="1426" data-end="1562"><p data-start="1428" data-end="1562">Continuously evaluate and enhance accounting operations, strengthen internal controls, and ensure adherence to compliance standards.</p></li><li data-start="1563" data-end="1688"><p data-start="1565" data-end="1688">Implement new technical accounting standards and maintain appropriate documentation of accounting positions and policies.</p></li><li data-start="1689" data-end="1804"><p data-start="1691" data-end="1804">Prepare and review audit schedules, coordinate with external auditors, and respond to audit inquiries promptly.</p></li><li data-start="1805" data-end="1958"><p data-start="1807" data-end="1958">Oversee timely completion of statutory and regulatory filings, including tax returns, financial reporting packages, and other compliance submissions.</p></li><li data-start="1959" data-end="2082"><p data-start="1961" data-end="2082">Partner with FP&A to align management reporting with external financial results, ensuring consistency and transparency.</p></li><li data-start="2083" data-end="2214"><p data-start="2085" data-end="2214">Manage or support ad hoc projects such as system implementations, process automation initiatives, and special financial analyses.</p></li></ul><h3 data-start="2221" data-end="2251"> </h3><h3 data-start="2221" data-end="2251"><strong data-start="2225" data-end="2251">Education & Experience</strong></h3><ul data-start="2252" data-end="3242"><li data-start="2252" data-end="2332"><p data-start="2254" data-end="2332">Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required); CPA or CA preferred.</p></li><li data-start="2333" data-end="2476"><p data-start="2335" data-end="2476">Minimum of 7 years of combined public and private accounting experience (Big 4, SEC-registered public company, or pre-IPO environment).</p></li><li data-start="2477" data-end="2593"><p data-start="2479" data-end="2593">Proven hands-on experience across major accounting processes (A/P, A/R, Payroll, Cash Management, Fixed Assets).</p></li><li data-start="2594" data-end="2690"><p data-start="2596" data-end="2690">Direct involvement in financial close, financial reporting, and management reporting cycles.</p></li><li data-start="2691" data-end="2783"><p data-start="2693" data-end="2783">Experience with external audits, including preparation of PBCs and supporting schedules.</p></li><li data-start="2784" data-end="2890"><p data-start="2786" data-end="2890">Knowledge of multi-state payroll and experience with Xero, ADP, and Workday preferred.</p></li><li data-start="2891" data-end="2972"><p data-start="2893" data-end="2972">Proficiency in Excel, Word, Google Workspace, and PowerPoint.</p></li><li data-start="2973" data-end="3042"><p data-start="2975" data-end="3042">Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.</p></li><li data-start="3043" data-end="3138"><p data-start="3045" data-end="3138">Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.</p></li><li data-start="3139" data-end="3242"><p data-start="3141" data-end="3242">Highly organized, self-motivated, and a collaborative team player capable of working independently.</p></li></ul><p> </p><p>Credible is open to hiring candidates in the following locations: California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington</p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay ranges for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location, are listed below.
