This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Manager, DevOps Engineer in United States.

This role sits at the intersection of DevOps engineering, satellite systems operations, and geospatial intelligence in a mission-critical defense and intelligence environment. You will lead the operational deployment and maintenance of advanced satellite ground systems, enabling real-time data processing and AI-driven intelligence delivery. The position involves working with complex satellite downlink pipelines, geospatial workflows, and automation tools to improve performance, reliability, and speed of information processing. You will also contribute to space domain awareness missions and support analytical and operational teams in high-stakes environments. This is a highly technical and impactful role requiring both deep engineering expertise and operational leadership. Ideal candidates thrive in complex, data-rich environments and are motivated by mission-driven, real-world applications of technology.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead deployment, operations, and maintenance of mobile satellite ground systems and direct satellite downlink capabilities.
  • Monitor live satellite data streams and end-to-end image processing pipelines to support rapid intelligence generation.
  • Develop automation scripts and DevOps tools to optimize satellite tracking, data processing, and system latency.
  • Support or manage space domain awareness and RF-based missions for satellite detection, tracking, and characterization.
  • Design and improve geospatial intelligence workflows integrating AI/ML capabilities into operational systems.
  • Collaborate with analysts and engineers to integrate semi-automated tools into ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) processes.
  • Support deployment of systems in lab, field, and forward operational environments.
  • Contribute to system reliability, scalability, and operational readiness across satellite and geospatial platforms.
  • Partner with technical teams to refine mission-critical workflows and improve data accuracy and delivery speed.
  • Ensure operational continuity and performance of distributed geospatial and satellite systems.

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance required.
  • 10+ years of experience in GEOINT, remote sensing, imagery analysis, or related geospatial intelligence disciplines.
  • Hands-on experience with satellite downlink operations, ground station systems, or space domain awareness capabilities.
  • Strong expertise in SAR and EO imagery exploitation for ISR missions.
  • Proficiency with GIS and remote sensing tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, ENVI, or ERDAS IMAGINE.
  • Experience working with AI/ML-based imagery workflows, including model testing, validation, and operational integration.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices including CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
  • Programming experience in Python for automation, data processing, or operational tooling.
  • Ability to work in high-security, mission-driven environments with operational constraints.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex geospatial and satellite systems.
  • Preferred: experience in program leadership, space ISR systems, AGI STK, photogrammetry tools, or maritime surveillance workflows.

Benefits

  • Salary range: $112,200 – $196,400 USD
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, vision)
  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Flexible work schedules
  • Life insurance coverage
  • Opportunity to work on mission-critical defense and intelligence systems
  • Career growth within advanced aerospace, space, and geospatial programs
  • High-impact work supporting national security and space operations
  • Collaborative, innovation-driven engineering environment.
