Reporting to the Global Controller, the Senior Manager, Accounting will play a critical role in the worldwide Lime controllership. You will support the accurate and timely reporting of Lime’s global financial results by owning accounting processes for various balance sheet and income statement accounts and ensuring compliance with US GAAP and global accounting policies as it relates to these areas of responsibility. This role will drive finance & accounting initiatives with global key stakeholders to enable process and system improvements, develop and maintain effective controls, and influence change that will globally scale the finance and operations organization.
This role will be responsible for global fixed assets accounting processes and will collaborate across business functions to build efficient and sustainable processes that facilitate strong internal financial controls and support scalable business growth. You will oversee the fixed asset accounting team, and you will be collaborating regularly with senior finance leaders and various cross-functional team leaders. You will be a primary partner to FP&A, Global Centralized Planning & Inventory Management and Central Operations to ensure proper asset management and accounting of our vehicle, swappables and spare part assets across our global hubs, 3PLs and warehouse locations. You will also be a key leader in implementing process and technology transformation in addition to supporting the day-to-day operations at a global scale.
We are seeking a candidate with strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls over accounting & reporting, as well as SOX compliance. The ideal candidate should have prior experience at a global publicly traded company, including fixed asset accounting experience, as well as strong communication and critical thinking skills and the self-initiative and ability to advance accounting processes to a scalable and mature state.Â
This is a remote first position with a preference to be located on the West Coast as this position will manage a team in Malaysia.
What you’ll do:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing, remote, and internationally diverse team, fostering collaboration, productivity, and professional growth across different time zones and cultures
Provide strategic thinking and scalable solutions to support the development and implementation of global standard operating procedures (“SOP”) for comprehensive end to-end tracking and accounting of vehicles and swappables
Manage the end-to-end accounting close process for various balance sheet and income statement areas, including accounting for vehicle and undeployed assets and spare parts
Develop relationships and regular communication with operational leaders to provide direct and timely assistance on matters that have accounting implications
Function as a change agent across the company by partnering with team members from other functions to identify, present and implement solutions for process improvements, automation opportunities and enhanced reporting capabilitiesÂ
Identify and support targeted system enhancements to leverage NetSuite as a key enabler for process improvement; enhance integrations with other boundary systems to streamline processes, improve data accuracy and boost efficiency
Achieve SOX compliance by maintaining a comprehensive cross-functional internal control structure, actively monitoring controls for compliance and enhancing controls as business process improvements occur
About you:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, CPA (or equivalent) strongly desired.
8+ years of relevant experience, either a combination of public accounting and industry, or industry only experience at a publicly traded companyÂ
Must have a high degree of technical knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls over accounting & reporting, as well as SOX compliance
Ability to lead and manage a remote global team and flexibility to work outside of US business hours to support subsidiaries across the globe
Ability to use a variety of software programs and tools to analyze and work with large data sets and accomplish tasks efficiently
Skilled in problem solving, making decisions, being a self-starter and working effectively under pressure while meeting deadlines
Preferred Experience
Experience working in a global organization where identifying and delivering end-to-end process and technology improvement and driving change across multiple organizations is critical
Experience with a large ERP platform (Oracle, SAP) in a multi-ledger and global environment
