This is a rare opportunity to architect and scale a next-generation discovery marketplace designed to connect millions of users with creators, communities, and products that help them grow. You will build and optimize the core recommendation engine powering a dynamic, feed-based experience — combining cutting-edge ML systems with thoughtful product design. Working in a fully remote, highly ambitious environment, you’ll collaborate closely with executive leadership, product, and engineering to redefine discovery in the creator economy. From embeddings and ranking models to experimentation frameworks, your work will directly shape product-market fit and large-scale consumer engagement. Accountabilities:
  • Design, build, and scale the discovery feed and recommendation engine that powers how users find creators, communities, and digital products.
  • Develop and iterate on large-scale ML systems, including embeddings, ranking models, personalization layers, and experimentation frameworks.
  • Productionize machine learning models end-to-end, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability in consumer-facing environments.
  • Leverage data analysis, experimentation, and engineering intuition to make high-quality decisions that accelerate product-market fit.
  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership, product, and cross-functional engineering teams to translate strategic vision into technical execution.
  • Continuously optimize algorithm quality, relevance, and performance to deliver engaging, goal-oriented discovery experiences.
  • Contribute to system architecture and backend engineering efforts that support real-time recommendations at scale.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including at least 2+ years focused on machine learning, recommendation systems, or large-scale data products.
  • Proven experience building or scaling feeds, ranking systems, or consumer-facing ML-driven discovery platforms.
  • Strong backend and data engineering expertise, including system design and deploying ML models into production environments.
  • Deep understanding of consumer application dynamics and the factors that drive engagement and product-market fit in discovery ecosystems.
  • Experience working with experimentation frameworks, A/B testing, and performance optimization of ML systems.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with a strong bias toward experimentation and iteration.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, curiosity, and drive to continuously learn new technologies and techniques.
  • Fluent English communication skills (C2 level or equivalent), suited for remote, asynchronous collaboration.
