The Senior Learning Specialist plays a critical leadership role in delivering high-quality training to end users in correctional healthcare environments and building the systems that support scalable learning. This role requires advanced instructional design skills, deep EHR workflow knowledge (or the ability to learn quickly), and strong cross-functional communication.
You will own complex training projects across multiple modules, clients, or phases of implementation, and act as a senior member of the Training team with elevated expectations for autonomy, quality, and impact.
What You'll Do:
Design & Delivery
- Develop and deliver multi-day or multi-module end-user training programs for our proprietary EHR, tailored to correctional healthcare environments.
- Lead both virtual and in-person training sessions for clinical, operational, and leadership staff with varying levels of technical proficiency.
- Build scalable, workflow-aligned instructional materials including guides, SOPs, simulations, and eLearnings.
Strategic Training Ownership
- Own large or complex training initiatives across clients - including curriculum scoping, content development, delivery, and post-training refinement.
- Assess existing training materials and lead redesign efforts to enhance clarity, consistency, and scalability.
- Ensure training materials remain updated in alignment with product releases and system changes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Implementation, Product, and Client Operations to ensure training aligns with system functionality and deployment timelines.
- Communicate training strategy, risks, and outcomes to internal leadership and client stakeholders.
- Serve as a subject matter expert during go-lives, providing hands-on support, triage, and rapid-response education.
Quality, Measurement & Innovation
- Track training effectiveness using qualitative feedback and analytics; iterate and improve to drive measurable outcomes.
- Drive innovation through new learning modalities: microlearning, blended learning, simulations, workflow-based scenarios, or LMS structure improvements.
- Contribute to the development of Fusion’s internal certification and train-the-trainer programs.
Leadership & Mentorship
- Mentor junior trainers and contractors by modeling best practices and providing coaching and structured feedback.
- Help elevate training team standards, templates, frameworks, and processes to support organizational scale.
Who You Are:
- You have 6–8 years of experience delivering training in healthcare, health tech, EHR implementation, or complex systems environments. Correctional healthcare experience is a plus.
- Proven success independently owning large training initiatives or multi-phase training programs.
- Advanced communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse clinical and operational audiences.
- Strong instructional design capabilities, including developing structured curricula, eLearning, simulations, guides, and SOPs.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, create structure in ambiguity, and make informed decisions with limited oversight.
- Experience collaborating across technical, clinical, and operational stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments and willing to travel as needed.
- Passionate about driving change, improving user adoption, and increasing the overall impact of training in healthcare settings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience mentoring or coaching other trainers or instructional designers.
