The Opportunity
The Senior IT and Vendor Cost Control Analyst will work with Technology leadership to create and manage the annual IT budget, assuring all expenditures during each fiscal year match the projected planned budget by reconciling invoices and statements to vendor quotes and to the IT budget. Work with the Finance department to reconcile the IT budget to the Oracle OnBase system, and work with the Accounts Payable to assure the timely processing of invoices.
This position will also be responsible for gathering, organizing, and maintaining financial information to ensure that Management can make informed spend decisions within budgetaryconstraints.Thepositionwillalsoassistindetailedmonitoringandanalysisofbudgets,actuals, and forecasts. Provides timely support for purchase requests, contract renewals, and the purchase order and accounts payable processes as required.
Day in the Life
Budgets, Forecasts, and reports costs required to support the operations of IT.
Develops and enforces processes to communicate, review and approve purchases impacting IT budgets.
Develops and reports financial variances, trending and analysis of expenditures, and financial commitment/contract renewal information.
Reviews costs incurred by category and department, estimates future costs based on price and volume variances, and projected price increases. Evaluates reasonableness of proposed purchases based on previous or similar purchases.
Under general supervision, solves complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of field and industry best practices in financial and project controls.
Uses experience and problem-solving skills to develop and improve processes.
Serve as point of contact for IT Contracts: Review vendor proposals for completeness, accuracy, compliance, and submitted to Vendor Management for review and following up to ensure timely
completion of executed contract.
Manages licenses and renewals by monitoring current license agreements and metrics.
Align with Finance to bridge the gap for tracking payments in process in order to tie them to IT expenditures and budget.
Coordinates access to subscriptions and software licenses.
Facilitate business needs for ongoing technical support on hardware and software needs by ensuring maintenance, support and upgrade protection renewals are managed in advance of their expiration; provide insight into financial and operational efficiencies to maximize.
Prepare and participate in internal/external audits to ensure license compliance of software, usage, overall cost and following set policies.
Provide input into developing IT KPIs to evaluate performance, financial goals, expenses, and resource demands.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
Seven (7) years Information Technology experience required. Experience with Reporting, Analytics, Oracle Onbase and Contract Management.
Familiarity with software licensing agreements (Oracle, Cisco, Microsoft, VMWare, EMC, etc.) required.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
