About the role

  • We are seeking a full-time Senior Integration & Systems Engineer to lead and maintain integrations across our core business systems: Salesforce (Kugamon), WooCommerce, Stripe, Microsoft Business Central, Avalara, Marketo, and various custom applications — all connected through our AWS-based integration layer.
  • This role is both highly technical and collaborative, requiring hands-on engineering skills, system ownership, and close partnership with internal business teams. Experience administering and working with WooCommerce is required, as the platform will remain in use until a future migration.

What you'll do

  • Administer and maintain WooCommerce, supporting ongoing business operations and troubleshooting issues until migration
  • Maintain and evolve our AWS-based integration layer using Lambda (JavaScript), EventBridge, SQS, and DynamoDB
  • Debug and resolve cross-system issues using CloudWatch, Datadog, logs, and structured queries
  • Manage data cleanup, synchronization, and streamlining across platforms
  • Work with data across MySQL, Salesforce (SOQL), and REST APIs (e.g. Stripe, Avalara, etc.)
  • Translate non-technical business needs into clear technical requirements and implement system-level changes
  • Develop and run scripts to support reporting, migrations, or subscription/license workflows
  • Conduct code reviews, manage GitHub pull requests, and coordinate closely with internal engineering and operations stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to reduce integration complexity and move toward a leaner, more unified architecture

Qualifications

  • Curiosity, empathy, and a passion for our mission and values
  • 5+ years in systems integration, backend engineering, or a similar technical role
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services: Lambda (JavaScript), EventBridge, SQS, CloudWatch
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, MySQL, SOQL, and REST API integration
  • Experience administering and supporting WooCommerce in a production environment
  • Familiarity with Git, GitHub workflows, pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Comfortable collaborating with non-technical business leads to gather requirements and deliver system changes
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to operate independently in a fast-moving environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Shopify, Salesforce Apex is a plus

Nice to Have

  • Experience in eCommerce

What we offer

  • Competitive salary and benefits
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Generous time off options, including paid holidays and winter break
  • Independence and autonomy
  • A flexible, remote work environment
