Senior Graphic Designer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Graphic Designer based in the United States.

This is a highly impactful creative role focused on transforming complex technical and programmatic information into clear, engaging, and accessible visual communications. You will work closely with analysts, writers, and technical teams to translate data into compelling infographics, reports, and visual narratives that support government initiatives and public-facing programs. The role blends design excellence with accessibility compliance, ensuring all outputs meet strict Section 508 standards. Operating in a fully remote environment, you will contribute to projects spanning technology assessments, public art, and historic preservation. Your work will directly support leadership decision-making and improve how technical information is understood by diverse audiences. Accountabilities

This role is responsible for producing high-quality visual communications that simplify complex technical content and support program storytelling across multiple public-sector initiatives.

Design infographics, data visualizations, and technical graphics that clearly communicate evaluation findings and program data.
Collaborate with writers, analysts, and subject matter experts to determine the most effective visual representation of complex information.
Develop brochures, fact sheets, posters, exhibits, and digital assets for technology, engineering, and public programs.
Ensure all deliverables meet Section 508 accessibility standards and align with established branding guidelines.
Create executive-ready dashboards and at-a-glance visual tools that support leadership decision-making.
Support storytelling initiatives related to public art, historic preservation, and architectural programs through engaging visual materials.

Requirements

This position requires strong visual design expertise combined with the ability to interpret and simplify complex technical content.

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in graphic design, data visualization, or technical communication.
Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in infographics, digital/print design, and data-driven storytelling.
Proven ability to translate complex technical or analytical information into clear and accessible visuals.
Experience ensuring Section 508 compliance or equivalent accessibility standards in design work.
Proficiency in industry-standard design tools and strong understanding of layout, typography, and visual hierarchy.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-design stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail, creativity, and ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously in a remote environment.
