The Sr. Global Category Manager is a high impact, highly visible position that will develop and execute global plans utilizing the strategic sourcing process. This position serves a key strategic role at Haemonetics providing strategy support at all levels of the organization.
The Sr. Global Category Manager develops, leads and executes global sourcing initiatives and strategies for assigned multiple categories that deliver value to the business by improving quality, mitigating supply risks, reducing total costs and focusing on continuous improvement. This high impact role will lead cross-functional teams & interfaces with other functions including supply chain, quality, R&D, legal and finance based on category to understand needs, taking into account key business objectives and corporate priorities. The role is responsible for performing complex data analysis, analyzing global spend, conducting market research, advancing strategies and implementing progressive progra
ms that provide the company with a competitive advantage.
Key activities include: Supplier identification, supplier due diligence and qualification, executing competitive bids, performing total cost and pricing analysis, monitoring market & industry trends and reducing supplier complexities. In addition, this role leads supplier relationship management and contract compliance monitoring by partnering with key business stakeholders to develop and track key supplier performance metrics. The position requires strong experience in the range of assigned commodities. - Work with key business partners and senior leadership to gain a solid understanding of strategic direction and supply requirements, corporate business objectives and priorities to develop global or regional category specific supply strategies. Provide market and industry intelligence to help inform and shape strategy.
- Build business relationships and own the partnering relationship with the relevant stakeholders of the relevant categories and the related supply base
- Pro-actively enable and ensure transparency of spend and drive for an optimization of efficiency (procedures and cost) in collaboration with Finance function and related stakeholders
- Lead supplier selection processes in alignment with business partners and negotiate contracts up to final authorization.
- Initiate, lead and participate in cross-functional teams in procurement and general projects as well as pro-actively managing and supporting other team members in their tasks and activities
- Continuous learning and development of category knowledge and methodologies driving innovation and continuous improvement within the targeted categories
- Manage contracts and suppliers within the targeted categories through supplier scorecards, periodic business reviews; active monitoring of supplier performance and risk, measuring contract compliance and other key metrics to ensure targets are being met and value is being delivered to the business under the supply agreements.

- Seek alternate and innovative ideas to provide solutions to business challenges and create competitive advantage. Leverage process teams, applications and tools to identify best approach for handling operational transactions related to services in order to lower administrative costs, add accountability, controls and drive efficiencies.
- Perform category management activities and contract life-cycle management to include reviewing / renewing expiring contracts, updating pricing and commercial terms. Proactively address marketplace changes managing any known or potential business impacts
Bachelor's Degree - Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain - Required
- Master's Degree - Technical degree Preferred
- 7- years Experience in strategically sourcing target categories including negotiations and supplier management skills chasing experience with exposure in manufacturing , new products development environment and working experience n technical environment - Required
- 7- years - Specific knowledge and experience in sourcing, negotiating, contracting, financial analysis, project management and leading an area in implementing new supplier agreements and programs.- Preferred
- 15+ Years Medical device, operations or manufacturing experience highly preferred. Combined experience of 15+ years in fast-paced high performance environment.- Required
- Very strong interpersonal, influencing and communications skills. Customer focused, self-motivated and able to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate must work well within a team environment and be able to positively influence outcomes with business areas that may be required to deal with change
- Strong financial account skills desired
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Proficient in Sourcing enablement technologies (Spend Analytics and e-Sourcing) preferred

- Good understanding of Quality Systems and definition of the cost of quality.
- Knowledge of financial accounting, strategic sourcing, and supplier management concepts.
- Proficient in using technology and tools. This includes at a minimum; Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Agile and Oracle ERP.
CPM or CPSM or CPIM or CSCP certification - Preferred

Pay Transparency:
The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account, without limitation, the candidate’s location, education, job-knowledge, skills, and experience in prior relevant roles. Incentives may also be provided as part of Haemonetics’ employee compensation. For sales roles, employees will be eligible for sales incentive (i.e., commission) under the applicable plan terms. For non-sales roles, employees will be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, the target amount of which varies based on the applicable role, to be governed by the applicable plan terms. Employees may also be eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive plan, with eligibility and target amount dependent on the role.

The base salary range for this role is:
$118,444.00-$160,066.00/Annual
