Senior Frontend Engineer

This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and user experience, focused on building high-performance, scalable web applications that directly impact users in a mission-driven, fast-paced environment. You will help shape modern frontend architecture while delivering intuitive and reliable interfaces used across critical workflows. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to translate complex requirements into seamless user experiences. You will contribute both to hands-on feature development and broader technical decisions that influence frontend standards and long-term scalability. Accountabilities

Design and develop scalable, high-quality frontend features using modern frameworks such as React and TypeScript.
Build and maintain reusable UI components, shared libraries, and design patterns to improve consistency and efficiency.
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to translate requirements into performant user interfaces.
Contribute to frontend architecture decisions including state management, API integration, performance optimization, and code structure.
Improve application performance by identifying bottlenecks, optimizing rendering, and ensuring responsive, accessible experiences.
Participate in code reviews, providing technical feedback and raising engineering standards across the team.
Support best practices in testing, CI/CD workflows, documentation, and frontend engineering standards.
Ensure user-centric design by aligning UI decisions with usability, accessibility, and UX principles.

Requirements

5+ years of frontend engineering experience, including strong hands-on work with React.
Deep proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern browser APIs.
Strong understanding of frontend architecture, component design patterns, and state management approaches.
Solid CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and networking concepts.
Experience with modern tooling such as Webpack, Vite, or similar build systems.
Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest and Cypress, and CI/CD workflows.
Strong understanding of UX principles, responsive design, and accessibility standards (WCAG).
Experience implementing authentication and authorization flows such as OAuth, JWT, or SSO.
Bonus: exposure to backend technologies (Node.js, REST, GraphQL), data visualization tools, or cloud environments.
