Senior Fraud Analyst – Fraud Investigations & Financial Crimes Monitoring

The Senior Fraud Analyst will support financial crime prevention initiatives by leading investigations, improving monitoring processes, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The role requires strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders to mitigate risk effectively.

• Conduct detailed investigations into suspicious activity, including securities fraud, account manipulation, transaction anomalies, and other financial crime risks identified through alerts, escalations, and referrals.
• Support and enhance investigative procedures across AML, fraud prevention, customer identification, and securities fraud monitoring programs.
• Prepare, document, and submit Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) in alignment with regulatory expectations and internal policies.
• Review sanctions screening alerts, regulatory information requests, and other compliance-related inquiries.
• Maintain and update enterprise risk assessments covering AML, fraud, sanctions, and market surveillance activities.
• Partner with teams across operations, trading, customer support, and other business functions to promote effective compliance practices.
• Assist with audits, regulatory examinations, and external compliance reviews by preparing documentation and investigative findings.
• Monitor regulatory developments and industry trends related to BSA/AML, OFAC, SEC, FINRA, and financial crime prevention requirements.
• Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, monitoring controls, reporting processes, and special compliance projects.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines financial crime investigation experience with strong analytical capabilities and knowledge of regulatory frameworks. They should be comfortable working independently in a remote environment while collaborating with multiple stakeholders.

• 1–3 years of experience in financial crime investigations, including AML, fraud, securities fraud, or related compliance disciplines.
• Strong understanding of U.S. regulatory requirements, including BSA/AML, the USA PATRIOT Act, SEC, FINRA, and related financial services regulations.
• Experience identifying and escalating suspicious activity, market manipulation risks, or unusual trading behavior.
• Proficiency with transaction monitoring systems, case management platforms, and investigative workflows.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and SAR-writing skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities with the confidence to collaborate across teams.
• Experience using Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and advanced filtering techniques.
• Working knowledge of domestic and international payment systems.
• Ability to manage priorities, maintain accuracy, and adapt in a fast-paced financial technology environment.
