This role offers the opportunity to lead and scale an advanced engineering organization focused on Risk-Based Vulnerability Management (RBVM). You will own multiple teams responsible for transforming vulnerability data, scanner outputs, and offensive security findings into actionable, risk-prioritized insights for customers. This position blends strategic product ownership with hands-on technical leadership, providing influence over the roadmap, architecture, and engineering practices. You will collaborate closely with Product, Security, and GTM teams while ensuring the delivery of scalable, reliable, and innovative solutions. Accountabilities- Lead and scale multiple backend/platform engineering teams focused on RBVM capabilities, including Vulnerability Management Hub (VMH), Vulnerability Risk Intelligence (VRI), High-Value Targeting (HVT), Advanced Data Pilfering (ADP), and Threat Actor Intelligence (TAI).
- Translate customer and market needs into product roadmaps, technical priorities, and actionable deliverables while balancing short-term initiatives with long-term platform investments.
- Drive integrations and FixOps capabilities, ensuring outputs from NodeZero are actionable in customer systems such as ServiceNow and Jira.
- Partner with Product, Security, and GTM teams to define product direction, roadmap, and technical strategy, operating in environments with limited dedicated PM resources.
- Establish engineering best practices for scalable backend architectures, distributed systems, ETL pipelines, and observability while fostering a culture of high-quality, rapid delivery.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between technical implementation, security requirements, and customer-facing outcomes.
- Mentor and develop engineering leaders and individual contributors, supporting career growth, ownership, and accountability.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading multiple backend/platform engineering teams in SaaS, cloud, or cybersecurity environments.
- Strong track record of product ownership, taking products from concept to market including MVPs, launches, and iterative improvements.
- Deep technical expertise in backend architecture, distributed systems, databases, ETL/data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Familiarity with RBVM, vulnerability management, CVEs, CVSS, exploitability, and threat actor-based prioritization.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python preferred; Go, Java, C++ also acceptable).
- Experience with cloud deployment, DevOps practices, CI/CD tooling, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Exceptional collaboration, communication, and documentation skills; able to convey complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience hiring, mentoring, and developing high-performing engineering teams, and making architectural decisions for complex systems.
- Creative, self-motivated, detail- and results-oriented with a “learn-it-all” mindset and curiosity about offensive and defensive security domains.
