Accountabilities:- Define and execute long-term engineering strategy, roadmaps, and priorities in partnership with Product and Design teams.
- Lead, mentor, and grow distributed teams of software engineers, promoting ownership, engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee architecture and technical design for complex, high-scale products, ensuring maintainability, extensibility, and reliability.
- Establish engineering best practices including testing, code quality, security, and operational excellence.
- Drive adoption of modern AI-assisted software development tools to accelerate delivery and team productivity.
- Manage technical dependencies across teams and ensure alignment on shared goals and delivery timelines.
- Encourage innovation through experimentation, technical research, and implementation of new engineering approaches.
- Support career development, performance management, and succession planning across the engineering organization.
Requirements:
- 9+ years of software engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of people management experience leading engineering teams in high-growth or complex environments.
- Strong technical background in one or more languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, Go, C++, C#, or Rust.
- Experience with modern web technologies and architectures such as React, Rails, GraphQL, MySQL, or cloud-native systems.
- Proven success leading distributed or remote engineering teams across multiple time zones.
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate business goals into scalable technical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
