Summary of Position

This position is a senior management role for a candidate who is motivated to lead a large or broad function or multiple diverse functions within a department or business unit. This position requires the capacity to problem solve complicated issues in sophisticated software systems and manage large teams. You will build innovative products with our collaborative, cross-functional teams, drive code quality and foster cross-team collaboration. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Owns the Teladoc Member Experience Home screen
  • Is passionate about leveraging AI to improve the efficiency of delivery and the experiences we deliver for our members.
  • Manages 3-5 teams operating in critical areas working with product, design and other stakeholders
  • Has ownership and ability to gain deep knowledge on the work their teams are involved in.
  • Has strong hands-on technical skills on platforms serving tens of thousands of members per day.
  • Can scale enterprise solution for organizations.
  • Will develop north-star architecture roadmaps.
  • Horizontally manages across the consumer org to drive positive change.
  • Implements operational and talent development goals for function.
  • Develops ideas for improvements to processes, products and services in line with department or business unit strategy.
  • Regularly works with cross-functional leadership on current business solutions
  • Foster collaboration between local and abroad development teams to drive consistency across all departments.
  • Review and analyze software operations to identify areas of potential modifications and improvements.
  • Advocate, evangelize and implement modern software engineering & agile best practices.
  • Manage a team and mentor the junior managers.
  • May have budgetary responsibility for a broad function or multiple functions within the department or business unit.
  • Regularly liaises with key internal and external stakeholders, typically members of leadership teams, to enable and execute commercial strategies and achieve business results.
  • Negotiates extremely critical matters with internal leaders or vendors/customers.
  • Responsible for the development of talent and leadership within area of responsibility.
  • Fosters positive culture from the top down.

Qualifications Expected for Position

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in the STEM fields is highly preferred
  • Ruby experience is preferred.
  • At least seven years of relevant work experience required
  • Strong interest in AI with some hands-on experience personally and on teams.
  • Can scale technical solutions to serve tens of thousands of members per day.
  • Has strong skills with telemetry and analytic tools, such as New Relic and Amplitude.
  • Has work with and successfully rolled out gates in the SDLC process to allow teams to deploy independently, with automated governance.
  • Experienced with a/b testing tools such as LauchDarkly or StatSig.
  • At least three years in a leadership position required
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process required
  • You have great technical savvy and intuition and coach your team to make good technical decisions while not allowing perfect to get in the way of good.
  • You have exemplary and effective mentoring skills
  • You embody the entrepreneurial spirit, with the ability to drive change and think outside the box.
  • You have full working understanding of Agile methodologies - Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc
  • You have experience with cutting-edge cloud technologies
  • You can consume and utilize new languages, design patterns, APIs and toolsets.
  • You are able to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
  • HIPAA/HITRUST/Sarbannes-Oxley experience a plus.
  • Able to speak directly and maturely with a different groups (Product Development, Engineering, Management)
  • Sees things from a user's point of view, and figure out the best system flow to implement requirements.
  • High degree of personal responsibility over designated duties.
  • Curious and flexible about new technology choices and approaches.
  • Able to learn and apply new concepts and tools rapidly.
  • Consistent and organized.
  • Timely and eloquent communicator.
  • Focused on helping the team, and improving the health of our members.
  • Experience working in established codebases / technical stacks.

The base salary range for this position is $200,000 - $215,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2025. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
