This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Director, Global Pricing Execution based in United States.
This senior leadership role will build and lead global pricing capabilities supporting an emerging oncology portfolio and future product launches. You will establish pricing and contracting frameworks that translate strategic objectives into disciplined, compliant, and launch-ready execution. Working across Global Market Access, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Finance, Regulatory, Legal, Supply Chain, and regional teams, you will shape pricing decisions across diverse international markets. The role combines strategic leadership, financial modeling, market access expertise, and operational execution. You will develop pricing architecture, governance, business cases, and measurement systems that support sustainable access and commercial performance. As a trusted advisor to senior executives, you will communicate complex pricing tradeoffs clearly and influence high-impact decisions. You will also build a high-performing team and strengthen pricing capabilities across the broader organization.
Accountabilities:- Establish the global pricing architecture, including list-price strategy, country sequencing, price corridors, launch price recommendations, lifecycle pricing, and pricing governance processes.
- Partner with Global Market Access to develop integrated pricing and reimbursement strategies that support value communication, payer engagement, and sustainable patient access.
- Lead the development of global price business cases and financial models covering gross-to-net, demand, revenue, access, and affordability scenarios.
- Define pricing guardrails, discounting principles, Innovative Access Agreements (IAAs), approval authorities, and exception-management processes to enable disciplined local execution.
- Partner with regional and country teams to adapt global pricing strategies to local healthcare systems, international reference-pricing dynamics, HTA requirements, tender environments, and regulatory constraints.
- Collaborate with Commercial Operations and IT to design and implement fit-for-purpose pricing, contracting, and analytics tools.
- Establish dashboards and operating rhythms to monitor price realization, gross-to-net performance, access outcomes, contracting performance, and emerging pricing risks.
- Support launch-readiness planning by ensuring pricing strategies, governance structures, systems, and cross-functional accountabilities are established ahead of anticipated approvals.
- Provide thought leadership and actionable recommendations to senior executives, translating complex pricing considerations and tradeoffs into concise, decision-oriented guidance.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing pricing team while fostering pricing expertise and capabilities across the global organization.
Requirements:
- Advanced degree such as a PhD, PharmD, MD, MBA, or equivalent in Health Economics, Public Policy, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in global pricing, market access, health economics, or government policy within the biopharmaceutical industry.
- Deep understanding of global pricing and reimbursement systems, including the U.S., EU4+UK, Japan, and emerging markets.
- Proven ability to influence senior leadership, shape strategic decisions, and translate complex market and financial considerations into actionable recommendations.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, strategic-thinking, and problem-solving capabilities, with experience developing financial models and business cases.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the executive presence required to work effectively across complex, cross-functional organizations.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Strategic mindset and strong business acumen, combined with adaptability in a rapidly evolving healthcare and policy environment.
- Experience in oncology, rare diseases, or specialty pharmaceuticals is preferred.
- Familiarity with international reference pricing (IRP), Most-Favored-Nation (MFN) policy, HTA processes, and value-based pricing models is preferred.
- Strong ability to lead through influence, collaborate across functions, and balance strategic priorities with disciplined execution.
Benefits:
- Base pay salary range of $232,000–$290,000 USD for the full-time position.
- The published salary range may be adjusted based on the candidate's local market, with individual compensation determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, market dynamics, and relevant education or training.
