This senior leadership role is responsible for driving the end-to-end delivery of customer-specific data center construction projects across North America. The position sits at the intersection of construction execution, client engagement, and large-scale infrastructure delivery, ensuring that complex builds are completed safely, on time, and aligned with customer and business objectives. The role requires a strong technical and operational leader who can oversee multiple concurrent projects while coordinating across design, permitting, procurement, and commissioning phases. It involves close collaboration with customers, internal engineering teams, and external contractors to ensure seamless execution and long-term operational performance. With high visibility across the organization, this leader plays a critical role in balancing cost, quality, and speed while enabling scalable data center expansion. The environment is fast-paced, highly technical, and built on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Accountabilities:- Lead full lifecycle execution of customer construction projects, including planning, design, permitting, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout, ensuring alignment with technical and customer requirements.
- Oversee project governance including budget development, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial tracking to ensure cost control and delivery efficiency.
- Manage internal teams and third-party partners, including staffing allocation, performance oversight, QA/QC validation, and contractor/vendor management.
- Act as a key liaison between customers and internal stakeholders, translating requirements into executable construction plans while ensuring operational sustainability.
- Drive coordination across engineering, operations, sales, and construction teams to ensure seamless integration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, construction protocols, and operational handover requirements, including lessons learned and continuous improvement practices.
Requirements:
- 10–15+ years of experience in construction management or large-scale infrastructure delivery, with at least 7+ years in a leadership role managing complex technical projects.
- Strong expertise in data center or mission-critical construction environments, including CSA (civil, structural, architectural) and MEP systems.
- Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously, including budget ownership, scheduling, and delivery accountability.
- Experience working with customers and cross-functional stakeholders in high-complexity, high-stakes environments.
- Strong knowledge of construction tools and systems such as MS Project, P6, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive alignment across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
