Job Overview:


As the Director of Consumer Engagement, you will serve as a key leader on Eva NYC leadership team, driving the development and execution of an integrated global GTM strategy. You are a self-starter, an outstanding marketing leader in Beauty, a strategic partner and a critical thinker that brings expertise and passion for delivering award-worthy marketing strategies for one of haircare’s most exciting brands in the masstige space.  

You understand the importance of a social-first approach in beauty-marketing, and you are also extremally well versed in all aspects of GTM that are required to accelerate brand awareness, engagement consideration and drive brand love with target consumers. You are bold in your creative thinking, innovative ideation and are not afraid to test and learn in your areas of expertise across social & influencer marketing, paid & digital media, partnerships, sampling and events.  

As a critical brand guardian on the Eva NYC marketing team, you will closely collaborate with the Brand, Creative and Sales teams and will be responsible for keeping our brand values, guidelines, and equity perception priorities at the forefront of GTM plans with consistency across all touchpoints. 

You will have experience in digital marketing across DTC, retailer.com channels and Amazon and work in close partnership with the eCommerce team to drive a seamless, integrated customer journey that achieves site traffic, conversion and retention KPIs. 


Location: Brooklyn, NY
Salary: $150,000 - $180,000 + bonus


Responsibilities:

  • Define the marketing strategy for Eva NYC through award-worthy, go-to-market plans, that will lead to increases market share, sales revenue and profitability 
  • Enhance the brand vision by developing creative, inspiring, and engaging, 360 marketing campaigns that will drive brand equity, category growth, and new product launches (NPL) 
  • Remain focused on consumer-centric marketing strategies that are lazer-targeted to retain and acquire new consumers through all consumer touchpoints and tactics 
  • Oversee all aspects of Consumer Engagement across brand and retailer marketing. From strategy to execution across media planning & buying, social media & influencer marketing, brand partnerships, sampling, events and digital media 
  • Partner with the Senior Brand Marketing Director and Associate Digital Marketing Director to oversee the marketing strategy and operations for Eva NYC’s DTC website. Offer insights into growth strategies, content updates and CRM cadence to continue to improve the website’s function as a sales & marketing tool 
  • Analyze monthly reports tracking digital and DTC media KPI, brand conversations, engagement, and conversion/sales for ongoing campaigns 
  • Partner with Sales & Marketing teams across campaigns for retailer.com businesses as well as support advertising campaigns for Amazon 
  • Ensure best-in-class delivery and proven results across campaigns and brand activations, with robust tracking, reporting and campaign analysis  
  • Offer expertise and problem-solving solutions for all go-to-market planning and activations, while developing a team of experts and skillsets that encompass 360-marketing 
  • Stay ahead of industry trends across both beauty and marketing sectors and implement data insights into tangible, tactical ideation  
  • Own the Consumer Engagement marketing budget and partner with Finance and Accounts Payable to ensure an effective use of spend that meets financial targets 
  • Ensure cross functional alignment and adherence to deliver successful launch campaigns at set retailer dates  
  • Build the total marketing budget to deliver the year-on-year strategy and ensure target EBITDA is achieved to continue the brand’s success 

Requirements:

  • 4-year college degree required, MBA or master's in marketing a plus 
  • 10+ years prior experience in CPG or Beauty in marketing 
  • 5-7 years prior experience in a Consumer Engagement role 
  • Experienced People manager and inspirational team leader 
  • Demonstrated ability to define a portfolio vision and strategy and successfully bring the organization along to achieve flawless execution 
  • Demonstrated ability to build and grow brands, deepen equity ownership and command a leadership position for the business 
  • Experience driving business transformation needs with in an agile and roll-up your sleeves approach  
  • Experience with fast-paced, complex businesses and P&L management 
  • Experience to command presence and persuasively and effectively lead executive level communication 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable with ambiguity, creating processes and collaborative partnerships to set up a high growth brand for future success 
  • Ability to help define, refine and identify consumer insights that will drive brand building and business growth opportunities and communications plans 
  • Ability to read and analyze financials, consumer research, and syndicated data and trends, and synthesize data into compelling insights to drive growth, improve ROI and overall help contribute to the thriving health of the business
