Job Description

PayNearMe is looking to add a dynamic Senior Director, Brand and Corporate Communications to our team, reporting to the EVP, Chief Marketing Officer. Help us reimagine payments!

As Senior Director, Brand & Communications, you'll lead the strategy and execution to evolve our brand into a distinctive, trusted voice among clients, partners, employees, and the industry.

You’ll develop integrated brand and communications strategies, creating a cohesive narrative across media, content, social and internal and external communications. Your work will elevate our market position and deepen stakeholder engagement.

As a senior marketing leader, you'll collaborate cross-functionally and with executives, aligning brand storytelling with business priorities. You'll oversee communications, including media relations, analyst engagement, corporate communications, crisis management, reputation, and thought leadership—protecting and promoting our brand.

Brand Strategy 

  • Own and evolve our brand identity, positioning, voice and narrative across all channels and experiences.
  • Champion a consistent, clear and inspiring brand presence across marketing, product, sales, client success, and talent touchpoints.
  • Ensure all initiatives are grounded in strategic goals, brand standards, and audience insights.

PR and Analyst Relations 

  • Lead media and analyst engagement strategies that strengthen PayNearMe’s leadership position, influence industry narratives, and support sales and investor confidence.
  • Direct the overall PR and analyst relations strategy in alignment with brand narrative and business priorities.
  • Cultivate relationships with key media and analyst contacts to increase brand visibility and impact. 

Corporate Communications

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team on external communications strategy and brand reputation.
  • Lead crisis communications strategy and execution in collaboration with legal, people team and executive stakeholders.
  • Guide partner- and client-facing communications to ensure clarity, consistency, and brand alignment.
  • Develop proactive strategies to manage and enhance corporate reputation.
  • Partner with People Team and executive leadership to support internal communications, employee engagement, and culture-building initiatives

Social Media and Content Marketing

  • Oversee development of brand content strategy and assets—including thought leadership, blog content, campaigns, and videos—to align with brand voice, strategic goals, and audience needs.
  • Lead corporate social media strategy to expand reach, foster engagement, and amplify brand storytelling across channels.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead, mentor and grow a high-performing brand and communications team, beginning with one direct report.
  • Manage agency and vendor relationships to scale execution and impact.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Sales, and People teams to drive alignment and execution.
  • Own budget planning, performance metrics, and reporting for brand and communications programs.

Qualifications

  • 10–15+ years of experience in brand, communications or marketing leadership, with at least 5 years managing teams. Experience in high-growth SaaS company and/or fintech a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to build integrated brand and communications programs that scale with company growth.
  • Proven success managing internal and external communications in high-growth environments.
  • Exceptional storytelling, writing and messaging development skills.
  • Experience leading through influence and working closely with executives.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate strategic goals into actionable plans.
  • Creative thinker with a bias for action and outcomes.

Salary Range: $220,000 - $240,000

The Company collects identifiers and professional or employment-related information, which may include some or all the following: real name, nickname or alias, postal address, telephone number, e-mail address, membership in professional organizations, professional certifications, language skills, and current and past employment history. The Company collects this Personal Information to evaluate previous job performance and consider applicants for positions, to develop a talent pool and plan for succession, to conduct applicant surveys, to maintain an internal applicant directory and for purposes of identification, to promote the Company as a place to work, and for workforce reporting and data analytics/trend analysis.
