Senior Developer (Remote - US)

We are seeking a skilled Senior Developer to join a dynamic and growing team in a fully remote capacity. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality web applications while managing back-end infrastructure, containerized environments, and caching systems. You will collaborate closely with other developers to implement features, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure system performance, scalability, and security. The position offers a mix of hands-on coding, SysOps responsibilities, and opportunities to influence technical architecture. It is ideal for candidates who enjoy working with modern web technologies, cloud-based infrastructures, and container orchestration platforms in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Accountabilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP, Symfony, and related technologies.
• Manage back-end systems, Linux servers, Kubernetes clusters, and Redis for high availability, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with developers to implement features, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain system reliability.
• Deploy, maintain, and upgrade software tools, processes, and metrics to ensure operational efficiency.
• Implement auto-scaling solutions and load balancing to accommodate changing workloads.
• Participate in on-call rotations to respond to critical incidents and ensure business continuity.
• Communicate effectively with team members, providing guidance and support on system components and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of PHP (5.4+) development experience with strong OOP fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Symfony, Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, Linux, Nginx, Twig, MongoDB, HTML, CSS, Git, PHPUnit, and jQuery.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, and test-driven development methodologies.
• Strong understanding of containerized application deployment, orchestration, and networking concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
