About the role
We’re on the lookout for a Senior Customer Success Engineer (CSE) to supercharge customer growth and ensure our customers maximize the value of their investment. As a CSE at Switchboard, you’ll partner with our Product and Engineering teams to deliver powerful data solutions that fuel our customers' toughest marketing and analytics challenges.
You’ll thrive in this role if you love collaborating with enterprise clients, driving high-impact data projects, and turning challenges into opportunities for growth. Reporting to the Head of Customer Success and working closely with our CTO/Co-Founder, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering strategic value to our customers and expanding their success with Switchboard.
What you'll do
- Architect Data Solutions: Design and refine data solution architectures for top-tier digital customers, ensuring they meet the demands of market-leading performance and scalability.
- Deliver Rapid Value: Develop data models and reports from conception to production, ensuring customers see measurable value within the first 30 days of engagement.
- End-to-End Technical Leadership: Lead pre and post-sales technical initiatives by understanding customer business cases, technical requirements, and delivering tailored data solutions.
- Shape the Product Roadmap: Collaborate closely with internal teams, providing customer insights and feedback to influence and refine product development.
- Drive Best Practices: Identify, develop, and implement best practices in data operations to continually enhance customer success and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Computer Science or Engineering Degree or equivalent (6+ years total professional exp in Software or Sales Engineering)
- 5+ years in a customer-facing role such as engineering, technical account manager, or consulting at a B2B enterprise SaaS company
- Proficient in SQL and able to skillfully extract and transform data as needed
- IT consulting and POC experience
- Experience managing a customer project from design to launch
- Experience with Digital Advertising, Publishing, Platforms
- Experience working with data from ad servers, Google Analytics/Omniture, e-commerce systems
- Bonus if you have any of the following:
- 2+ years of some experience in dimensional data modeling, and Data Warehousing (BigQuery, RedShift)
- Experience with Machine Learning a plus
- Experience in an early-stage startup environment
- Background in Data Analytics, Consulting, Technical Account Manager at a SaaS company
