Job Summary
Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements. Additionally, all team members may be called upon to support proposal efforts as needed. This could include resume formatting, providing skills alignment summaries, participating in meetings, or contributing to solutioning activities based on subject matter expertise or functional experience.
Responsibilities
鈥ead the collection, documentation, and validation of complex business and technical requirements from military stakeholders.
鈥ffectively conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and analysis sessions to extract detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
鈥evelop comprehensive requirements documentation including business process flows, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
鈥erform gap analysis between current state operations and desired future capabilities
鈥stablish and maintain full traceability from initial requirements through design, development, testing, and deployment.
鈥reate and manage requirements traceability matrices ensuring complete coverage throughout the project lifecycle.
鈥onitor requirements implementation progress and coordinate with development teams to ensure deliverables align with documented specifications.
鈥anage and mentor a team of business analysts, providing guidance on methodology, documentation standards, and stakeholder engagement.
鈥ssign work, review deliverables, and ensure quality standards are maintained across all analysis activities.
鈥ollaborate closely with software developers, system architects, and test engineers to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
鈥oordinate with program managers and technical leads to ensure requirements align with project timelines and technical constraints.
鈥acilitate requirements review sessions and manage change control processes.
鈥ust be able to identify and mitigate risks. We are looking for a Business Analyst with excellent communication skills who can work with key stakeholders/customers to support planning and delivery of technical IT development Agile projects
鈥pply different techniques to facilitate meetings and workshops, create a shared understanding with stakeholders, and engage team members to produce product and portfolio roadmaps.
鈥ollaborate with stakeholders and product teams to break down large epics into features and user stories that can be understood and approved by development team members.
鈥acilitate increment and planning sessions with clients and team members to ensure that planned work is well defined, planned, articulated, and understood.
鈥ssist business analysts, team leads, clients, and other team members in the use of JIRA as an Agile Lifecycle Management Tool to track work within the program across multiple product teams.
鈥oach teams in their understanding of the delivery process, the agile mindset, and client values
鈥rovide guidance and assistance in the usage of JIRA for reporting work progress against epics and other types of work.
鈥efine project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects.
鈥ocument Acceptance Criteria in stories in a way that both development team and business stakeholders can understand and agree on the content.
鈥unction as direct manager for team members including setting goals, day-to-day work, and career growth.
鈥se excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and present findings and recommendations.
鈥reating and presenting interactive demos, prototypes, and proof-of-concepts for stakeholder validation and feedback
鈥rive innovation initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvement and AI/ML technology adoption

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
鈥his is a remote/work-from-home position. The employee is expected to maintain a professional and distraction-free home office environment with reliable internet access and the ability to participate in video and audio calls during standard working hours. Standard office equipment such as a computer, phone, and webcam will be used regularly.

Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate computer and telephone equipment.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally (e.g., moving equipment).
Ability to participate in virtual meetings and communicate clearly via video/audio platforms.
Travel Requirement
This is a remote position; however, occasional travel may be required based on project needs, client meetings, team collaboration events, or training sessions. Travel is expected to be less than 10% and will be communicated in advance whenever possible.
