You will join a small, high-impact engineering team building scalable backend systems that power core financial products used by over 7 million customers. Accountabilities

In this role, you will take ownership of backend features and services across their full lifecycle, contributing directly to the stability and evolution of a large-scale financial platform. You will design, build, and maintain distributed systems while ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability across core services.

Own backend features end-to-end, from design and development through production deployment and iteration
Develop and enhance Kotlin-based services supporting core financial product functionality
Design scalable and reliable distributed systems aligned with product and engineering needs
Collaborate within a small cross-functional team to deliver frequent product improvements
Write maintainable, well-tested code and contribute to engineering best practices
Participate in architectural discussions and continuously improve system performance and resilience

Requirements

The ideal candidate brings strong backend engineering expertise and a deep understanding of scalable system design. You have a solid computer science foundation and extensive experience building production-grade distributed systems in fast-moving environments.

6+ years of backend software engineering experience
Strong computer science fundamentals and systems design knowledge
Experience building and maintaining scalable distributed systems in production
Proficiency with Kotlin or similar modern backend languages
Strong focus on software quality, testing, and maintainable code practices
Experience working with technologies such as gRPC, Postgres, Kubernetes, and Terraform is a plus
Comfortable working in small, agile teams with high ownership and rapid delivery cycles
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a product-driven environment
