Accountabilities:

In this position, you will:

Design, plan, and implement core backend features that support scalable SaaS applications and complex data workflows.
Build, optimize, and maintain APIs, databases, and data processing pipelines to ensure performance, reliability, and accuracy.
Translate complex organizational and engineering data into maintainable models that capture real-world workflows.
Rapidly deliver value to customers through automated CI/CD pipelines in a cloud-hosted environment.
Collaborate across teams to provide technical and product expertise, communicate progress, and troubleshoot issues.
Support production operations, ensuring high availability, monitoring, and incident resolution.
Contribute to team culture, fostering inclusion, growth, and continuous learning.

Requirements:

Candidates should bring:

10+ years of experience building SaaS products, with a strong focus on backend development.
Expertise in Python and experience building production systems using Django.
Advanced skills in relational data modeling and familiarity with columnar or alternative database technologies.
Experience with scaling, performance tuning, and benchmarking APIs and data processing systems.
Comfort using modern developer tools such as Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, and Kiro to accelerate development.
Exposure to growth-stage startup environments and ability to operate effectively in fast-moving contexts.
Strong curiosity, problem-solving skills, and the ability to ask insightful questions and drive consensus.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
