As a people-centric employer brand, we are deeply committed to fostering the growth, happiness, and holistic well-being of each individual on our team. </div>Who We’re Looking For - Reporting to the Lead Principal Engineer, Digital Consumer Experience, we are seeking a versatile Senior Backend Engineer with deep expertise in Shopify, NestJS, and subscription-based architectures. This role will be instrumental in leading, implementing, and managing technical integrations across our business, particularly with third-party vendors like OrderGroove, as well as backend systems leveraging MongoDB. Responsibilities:<ul><li>Develop and maintain custom integrations between Shopify and third-party services, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality</li><li>Enhance and optimize our custom subscription engine powered by OrderGroove and Shopify to improve user experience and retention</li><li>Design algorithms and workflows to drive the development of new platform features and capabilities</li><li>Prepare and present architecture diagrams for various projects and initiatives, ensuring accurate representation and documentation of system structure</li><li>Write clean, efficient, and scalable code that meets business and technical requirements</li><li>Troubleshoot, debug, and continuously improve our existing platform for better performance and reliability</li><li>Mentor team members through code reviews, collaborative programming, and knowledge sharing  </li><li>Other duties as needed</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>5+ years of experience writing production-quality code, with a focus on building scalable, high-performance systems</li><li>Proven expertise in developing backend architectures, including APIs, microservices, and third-party integrations</li><li>Strong background in event-driven architecture and microservices-based design patterns</li><li>Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks like React, with backend development expertise in NestJS</li><li>Experience interacting with MongoDB  </li><li>Deep understanding of cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud, with experience in deployment and infrastructure management</li><li>Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js, writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code</li><li>Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks such as Jest to ensure code reliability and robustness</li><li>Strong knowledge of monitoring and observability tools to maintain system health and performance</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality engineering outcomes</li><li>Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders</li></ul>MANSCAPED® Benefits <ul><li>Take time to find balance and rejuvenate your senses.
