Datavanters bring a diversity of professional, educational and life experiences to realize our bold vision for healthcare.</p></div><p><strong>Reports to:</strong> Head of Internal Controls &amp; Audit</p><p><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p><p>We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Internal Controls Sr. Auditor to support the implementation of robust internal controls in preparation for a potential IPO. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving the documentation, validation, and implementation of internal controls across the organization, ensuring they meet SOX standards and are sustainable for long-term compliance.</p><p>The role requires a dynamic individual who can work collaboratively with control owners to develop, implement, and validate internal controls and associated documentation, including risk and control matrices, process narratives, and control walkthroughs. We have identified 4 key skills:</p><ol><li>Strategic Thinking &amp; Adaptability: Ability to seamlessly transition between detailed tasks and the broader organizational objectives, while maintaining a clear focus on overall goals and priorities.</li><li>Financial Relevance &amp; Focused Approach: Strong capability to identify and prioritize financially relevant information within processes, distinguishing it from operational data, ensuring efficient use of time for both the team and control owners.</li><li>Proactive Problem Solving &amp; Inquiry: Expertise in formulating insightful, forward-thinking questions based on a solid understanding of business operations and SaaS applications, anticipating challenges in future scenarios.</li><li>Systems Proficiency in Financial Controls: Working knowledge of key financial systems (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite, Salesforce, Coupa) or similar SaaS platforms, with a focus on their application within financial controls and compliance.</li></ol><p><strong>Key Responsibilities </strong><em>(flexibility of&nbsp; tasks below based on business needs. This description is intended to provide a general overview of the role and does not represent a guarantee of tasks or exposure).</em></p><ol><li>Controls Documentation &amp; Risk and Controls Matrix Development&nbsp;</li><ul><li>Work with control owners to document existing internal controls and further develop the Risk and Controls Matrix (RACM).</li><li>Ensure all controls are aligned with SOX standards and best practices.</li><li>Assist in the design of controls for new or modified processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory and business requirements.</li><li>Draft process narratives and develop embedded flowcharts to document process flow and control activities.</li></ul><li>Control Validation, Remediation &amp; Implementation&nbsp;</li><ul><li>Partner with control owners to review, light test (sample of 1), and validate controls to ensure they are operating effectively.</li><li>Support remediation efforts where controls are found to be inadequate, ensuring timely implementation of corrective actions.</li><li>Transition ownership of controls to the respective process owners once they have been implemented, validated, and documented.</li><li>Perform tests of operating effectiveness of controls, document findings in a clear and organized manner, and communicate results through concise reporting.&nbsp;</li></ul><li>Collaboration &amp; Stakeholder Engagement</li><ul><li>Regularly meet with control owners and stakeholders to ensure alignment on controls and compliance objectives.</li><li>Educate and support control owners in understanding their responsibilities, control design, and execution.</li><li>Ensure proper documentation and tracking of control activities for audit and regulatory purposes.</li></ul><li>Internal Controls Reporting &amp; Communication</li><ul><li>Provide regular status updates and reports on progress toward IPO readiness and internal control implementation to senior leadership.</li><li>Participate in the preparation of management reporting for internal and external stakeholders, including auditors.</li></ul></ol><p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.</li><li>CPA, CIA or related certificattion&nbsp;</li><li>Big 4 public accounting experience.</li><li>3+ years of experience in internal controls, SOX compliance, audit, or a related field.</li><li>Strong knowledge of SOX standards, COSO framework, and internal control best practices.</li><li>Experience developing Risk and Control Matrices (RACM), process narratives, and control documentation.</li><li>Ability to communicate complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex organizational structures.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience with IPO or pre-IPO companies.</li><li>Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., Netsuite, Oracle).</li><li>Familiarity with GRC systems (e.g., Auditboard).</li><li>Project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.</li></ul><p><strong>Personal Attributes:</strong></p><ul><li><ul><li>Detail-oriented and organized with strong documentation skills.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence others.</li><li>A proactive, self-starter who can manage priorities and deliver results within deadlines.</li><li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to think strategically and problem-solve effectively.</li></ul></li></ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p><span data-sheets-root="1">We are committed to building a diverse team of Datavanters who are all responsible for stewarding a high-performance culture in which all Datavanters belong and thrive.
