Job Description:

The Senior Assurance Analyst role is responsible for performing controls testing and issue identification for our Continuous Audit testing and External Support.  The successful candidate will work with our team as well as employees from across the organization to understand the processes and be a resource in helping align our focus to areas of highest risk.   This role will work across the enterprise, offering exposure to the Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company and its subsidiaries, which include Broker Dealers, Asset Managers and other Life Insurance Companies.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize critical thinking, data gathering and problem solving skillsets to understand and assess business processes and operational risk focus areas throughout the organization in support of our corporate initiatives.
  • Perform testing of business processes and controls.
  • Effective communication of issues identified, impacts and solutions related to operational risk to assurance groups, business areas and executive management.
  • Relationship building and partnering with team members, business partners and other assurance groups for execution of our aligned approach.
  • Perform Continuous Audit and External Support procedures across all affiliates.
  • Perform and /or assist with other department initiatives as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Business, Finance or Accounting Required, and
  • CISA, CIA or CPA a plus (one is required to be obtained within first two years of employment); other industry certifications to be determined as needed.


Experience

  • One to three years of assurance and/or business experience in the operations of financial services company(s) (life insurance, investments, asset management and/or broker-dealer operations). Required


Base salary range: $65,000 - $80,000
