Job Summary:
This role combines instructional design expertise with training delivery skills, while also taking on broader responsibilities to consult with subject matter experts, contributing to organizational-wide initiatives, and leading internal L&D projects. The Senior Associate, Learning & Development, will also play a key role in coaching and supporting Learning Specialists, Instructional Designers, and Training Specialists to ensure consistency, quality, and innovation in learning solutions.
Instruction Design & Content Development
Lead the design and development of innovative learning materials, including eLearning modules, ILT, microlearning, simulations, and job aids.
Partner with SMEs and business leaders to translate complex concepts into learner-friendly content.
Ensure instructional design aligns with organizational strategy, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Provide oversight and quality assurance for content developed by other L&D team members.
Training Delivery & Facilitation
Deliver virtual training sessions with excellence, adapting delivery style for diverse audiences.
Act as a role model for classroom management, learner engagement, and facilitation best practices.
Mentor other facilitators to enhance their delivery effectiveness and learner impact.
Consultation & Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as a consultant with SMEs, guiding the development of accurate and engaging training content.
Support L&D functions on organization-wide projects, ensuring that learning and adoption needs are embedded into project plans.
Partner with leaders across departments to align learning solutions with business objectives and change management initiatives.
Leadership of L&D Initiatives
Lead internal L&D projects, including the design, implementation, and evaluation of enterprise learning programs.
Support the development and growth of Learning Specialists, Instructional Designers, and Training Specialists through mentoring and coaching.
Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
Collect feedback and analyze performance data to measure program effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and innovation across the L&D team and the broader organization.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, HR, or related field.
4+ years of experience in L&D roles (instructional design, training facilitation, or combined roles).
Demonstrated experience contributing to learning initiatives and projects.
Strong knowledge of instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, Agile Learning, etc.).
Proficiency with LMS platforms and eLearning authoring tools (Articulate 360 including Storyline, SnagIt, Photoshop, Microsoft Product Suite, Camtasia, Adobe Product Suite including Captivate, etc.).
Skills:
Expertise in facilitation and proven ability to manage virtual classroom learning environments.
Exceptional communication, consultative, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to mentor and support L&D colleagues in both content development and facilitation.
Strong project management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated experience with a portfolio showcasing learning solutions that highlight instructional design principles, creativity, and technical proficiency across multiple modalities.
