This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Area Manager, Community in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead and grow community engagement across key East Coast markets, including New York and Boston. The Senior Area Manager will develop and implement strategies that foster authentic connections with local outdoor enthusiasts, athletes, guides, and ambassadors. You will oversee programs, events, and activations that strengthen brand presence and drive community growth. This position blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution, including mentoring a small team and coordinating cross-functional initiatives. The role requires travel within the region to ensure impactful on-the-ground experiences and alignment with broader organizational priorities. Success in this position will be measured by community engagement, event effectiveness, and team development.


Accountabilities:
  • Design, execute, and continuously evolve the East Coast community strategy in alignment with broader organizational goals.
  • Lead the planning and delivery of community programs, including Academy Light activations, new store openings, and local events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with athletes, guides, ambassadors, pro partners, and grassroots communities.
  • Oversee regional ambassador programs and ensure consistent, high-quality experiences across markets.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Retail, Brand Experience, and Field teams to amplify community initiatives and ensure alignment across channels.
  • Manage budgets for community initiatives, including paid media allocations and ROI analysis.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing community team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Track, analyze, and report on community KPIs to inform strategic decisions and optimize engagement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in community management, brand marketing, or event strategy.
  • Proven track record in leading large-scale community programs and events from concept to execution.
  • Experience managing and developing teams in high-performance environments.
  • Skilled in relationship management with athletes, ambassadors, or influencers.
  • Proficiency in budget management, paid media allocation, and ROI tracking.
  • Strong communication, storytelling, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Deep understanding of outdoor, adventure, and urban community landscapes.
  • Passion for the outdoors, sustainability, and fostering inclusive community initiatives.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary range: $124,000–$155,000 annually.
  • Fully remote position with travel within assigned markets as required.
