This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors. We are currently looking for a Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis in United States.

We are seeking a Senior Analyst in Financial Planning & Analysis to provide high-level financial insights and support strategic decision-making. This role is responsible for analyzing complex financial data, overseeing general ledger activities, and preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders. You will partner with leadership to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models, while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies. The position demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial insights effectively. You will play a key role in shaping business strategies, driving process improvements, and supporting organizational growth.

Accountabilities

·         Conduct in-depth financial analysis and provide actionable insights for business strategy development.

·         Manage, review, and reconcile general ledger activity and investment accounting to ensure accuracy.

·         Prepare financial, operational, and board reports tailored to internal and external stakeholder needs.

·         Support budgeting, forecasting, and profit-and-loss analysis through data aggregation, variance analysis, and modeling.

·         Evaluate and enhance finance policies, procedures, and control environments to align with best practices.

·         Execute financial system implementations and enhancements, including building reports in NetSuite.

·         Serve as liaison with auditors, tax accountants, and consultants for finance projects and regulatory reporting.

·         Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to colleagues on financial data analysis and reporting.

Requirements

·         Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

·         5–6 years of relevant experience in financial planning, analysis, or accounting.

·         Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and non-profit accounting practices.

·         Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.

·         Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets and communicate insights effectively.

·         Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

·         Experience preparing financial models, reports, and analyses to support executive decision-making.

·         Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
