As a Senior Accounting Manager at SEON, you’ll play a critical role in bringing structure, accuracy, and scalability to our global finance function. You will own our global close process, lead core accounting operations across our US entity while partnering closely with international teams, ensuring strong consolidated financial reporting, compliance, and audit readiness in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

This role sits at the center of a transforming finance organization. You’ll be responsible for elevating accounting standards, driving US GAAP adoption, and implementing policies and processes that support scale. We’re looking for a hands-on leader who thrives in ambiguity, can bring order to complexity, and is comfortable balancing strategic ownership with day-to-day execution.

This role reports into Finance leadership and will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders across the business.

This role is based in our Austin office with a hybrid schedule (1–2 days per week in office), with regular collaboration across our Budapest-based team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Lead and manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Strive towards a reduced close cycle time, with improved efficiency and quality.

  • Own consolidated financial reporting and ensure compliance with US GAAP.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for external group auditors and lead the group audit process end-to-end. Support local audits and reporting requirements. .

  • Define, implement, and maintain strong internal controls to support compliance and reporting accuracy.

  • Partner on key finance initiatives, including revenue and billing system implementation and broader process transformation efforts.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and scalability across accounting and reporting operations.

  • Manage and mentor a small team (Austin and Budapest), fostering collaboration across time zones.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (FP&A, Legal, Sales, Operations) to ensure accurate accounting treatment and reporting.

  • Continuously support the evolution of accounting infrastructure during a period of organizational change and exceptional growth.

  • Bring structure and clarity to a rapidly evolving finance environment, helping establish best practices and sustainable processes.

WHAT YOU’ll BRING:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA preferred but not required.

  • 7+ years of hands-on accounting experience, ideally within a SaaS, tech, and/or multinational environment.

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting principles.

  • Proven experience leading or supporting external audits and managing audit relationships.

  • Experience working in multi-entity and/or multi-currency environments.

  • Strong systems experience, with NetSuite highly preferred and familiarity with close management tools (e.g., Numeric).

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.

  • Experience improving and scaling accounting processes in a high-growth or rapidly evolving environment.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate effectively across teams and levels.

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and deliver results in a dynamic setting.

  • Experience collaborating with international teams across time zones.

AMAZING IF YOU ALSO HAVE:

  • Background in top-tier professional services firm and/or high-growth SaaS companies

  • Experience supporting US GAAP adoption or finance transformation initiatives

  • Exposure to fintech, fraud prevention, or data-driven technology companies
