Many roles require travel to create opportunities to engage in-person with our school partners, our clinicians, and each other.What will you do at Presence?We are looking to hire an organized and highly detail-oriented individual to be part of our Finance team in the position of Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will perform a supporting role in the Finance department’s activities and will report to the Assistant Controller while collaborating with other members of the Finance team and company.This role is ideal for a challenge-seeking problem solver who welcomes the rapidly growing environment of a startup. Ideally, you should be someone who is specific about the details, but also has a curiosity of the business as a whole.Primary Responsibilities:<ul><li>Compile cost of revenue and operational metrics to facilitate gross margin and profitability analysis.</li><li>Prepare payroll, cost, and other journal entries.</li><li>Perform monthly balance sheet and income statement analysis.</li><li>Perform monthly reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts.</li><li>Review current accounting procedures and make recommendations for new transactions and standards.</li><li>Contribute to accounting, internal controls, process, and systems-related projects.</li><li>Assist with year-end financial reporting, footnote preparation, and the related audit.</li><li>Semi-monthly payroll processing and coordination with HR on personnel changes.</li><li>Review vendor contracts and ensure appropriate accounting treatment.</li><li>Ensure compliance with state payroll taxes.</li><li>Ensure compliance with state sales taxes and other statutory filings.</li><li>Prepare support and coordinate completion of state income taxes.</li><li>Coordinate with Billing and Clinical Operations on timesheet issues.</li><li>Take on ad-hoc requests.</li></ul>What we're looking for?<ul><li>A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a Bachelor’s degree in business with emphasis in accounting, is required.</li><li>Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and cost accounting (preferred).</li><li>Public accounting experience preferred.</li><li>3+ years of general accounting experience.</li><li>Intacct Accounting system experience or similar ERP.</li><li>ADP Workforce Now experience or similar payroll system.</li><li>Strong computer skills are required, and you must be comfortable in a remote, paperless, cloud-based software environment.</li><li>Strong Microsoft Excel skills.</li><li>Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and work independently.</li><li>Must be a self-starter and team player who is excited to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.</li><li>Demonstrated ability in time management with strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.</li></ul>What will help you succeed here?<ul><li>Presence is committed to shared principles of inclusivity.
