Job Overview:

The Search Analyst II will have a demonstrated history of planning, executing, and optimizing search campaigns on both Google and Bing to drive traffic and conversions. This role works closely with Accounts and Performance departments to execute campaign goals. The person in this role must be highly organized, manage budgets across 30+ partners, and possess deep knowledge of automotive advertising. Success in this role is measured by the consistent execution of daily, weekly, and monthly deliverables that ensure partner growth and budget integrity.

Essential Functions:

  1. Collaborate daily with Accounts, Performance, and Business Operations teams to support partner goals and campaign execution.
  2. Plan, launch, and optimize paid search campaigns for a portfolio of 30+ partners, ensuring campaigns are strategically aligned and executed on schedule.
  3. Manage and optimize Google Merchant Center, including inventory feeds and compliance, to maintain campaign health and prevent disapprovals.
  4. Execute and optimize Google Vehicle Listing Ads (VLA) and Performance Max campaigns using industry best practices.
  5. Conduct campaign pre-planning, including keyword research, audience targeting, landing environment evaluation, and territory mapping.
  6. Monitor campaign performance to ensure keywords, ad copy, extensions, and territory maps remain relevant and effective.
  7. Oversee budgets through regular reviews, adjustments, and proactive escalation of significant over- or under-spend.
  8. Recommend paid search budgets aligned with partner objectives and performance needs.
  9. Analyze performance data and document key wins, optimization efforts, and areas of opportunity.
  10. Execute weekly account priorities and deliverables with accuracy and consistency.
  11. Test, monitor, and refine paid search tactics to improve performance and efficiency.
  12. Support cross-platform execution as needed. 
  13. Provide mentorship and strategic support to team members and contribute to departmental leadership.
  14. Stay current on SEM platforms, tools, and industry trends.
  15. Perform all other duties as assigned by iFrog Leadership.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. If a local iFrog employee, the ability to work on a hybrid 3+2 office/work-from-home model (5 days at the office for the initial 90 days).
  2. Stay informed on emerging technologies and trends related to paid search and digital marketing best practices to help contribute innovative and strategic ideas to the team.
  3. Work with and understand outside platforms like Basis and DEP units, and effectively coordinate cross-platform campaigns.
  4. Stay up to date with the most current Google trends, updates, and algorithm changes, and proactively incorporate them into SEM and SEO strategies
  5. Collaborate with the Search Director and other stakeholders to align SEM and SEO strategies with overall marketing and business objectives.
  6. Provide guidance and support to team members, including training on SEM platforms, Google trends, and new product features.
  7. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and staying ahead of industry developments.
  8. For automotive clients, understand key factors such as inventory, incentives, and sales events to ensure paid search tactics are aligned with partner goals.

Required Education & Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or work equivalent.
  2. Working knowledge of the automotive industry.
  3. Google Ads and Google Analytics certifications (may be obtained within 1 year of hire date).
  4. Proficient with Google Merchant Center to manage product feeds and optimize product listings for Google Shopping campaigns.
  5. Willingness to understand and explore new Google products and features as they are released, and evaluate their potential for improving SEM and SEO performance
  6. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  7. Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  8. Experience in managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  9. Demonstrated ability to effectively work collaboratively with a team.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  1. Knowledge of marketing metrics, analysis, and interpretation.
  2. Proficient with Google Suite.
  3. Proficient with macOS.
