Scrum Master

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Scrum Master in the United States.

This role provides a unique opportunity to lead Agile delivery for mission-critical projects in a collaborative, high-impact environment. The Scrum Master will facilitate Agile practices, coach teams, and enable the delivery of high-value solutions while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to ensure effective backlog management, incremental delivery, and transparency across teams. This position emphasizes both team performance and stakeholder alignment, requiring a hands-on approach with Scrum and Kanban frameworks in a distributed work environment. Ideal candidates are experienced in Agile methodologies, adept at removing impediments, and thrive in dynamic, mission-driven settings.

• Facilitate all Scrum events including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
• Collaborate with Product Owners to maintain well-defined, prioritized, and actionable product backlogs
• Remove impediments to team progress and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Track and report Agile metrics such as velocity, burn-down, and team performance for transparency
• Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile principles, values, and practices
• Support user story development, acceptance criteria, and refinement sessions to ensure high-quality delivery
• Utilize tools such as Jira, Confluence, or equivalent for backlog management, documentation, and collaboration

• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent Agile certification
• 7+ years facilitating Agile teams, ceremonies, and removing blockers
• Strong knowledge and practical experience with Scrum, Kanban, and familiarity with SAFe frameworks
• Proficiency with Agile project management tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing team dynamics and stakeholder relationships
• Experience supporting distributed or hybrid Agile delivery teams
• Prior federal or DHS-related project experience strongly preferred
• Preferred: advanced Scrum certifications (A-CSM, CSP), experience with Agile scaling frameworks (LeSS, SAFe), and background in software development or technical project delivery
