The SAP Technical Lead will drive architecture, implementation, optimization, and support initiatives across SAP platforms.
Working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners, this position will translate requirements into scalable technology solutions.
The role requires strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA, system migrations, integrations, security, and technical governance.

Accountabilities:The SAP Technical Lead will provide technical direction and leadership across ERP initiatives, ensuring high-quality solutions, reliable system performance, and alignment between business needs and technology strategies.
- Lead technical design, architecture, and delivery for complex SAP initiatives, including SAP S/4HANA implementations and system enhancements.
- Partner with IT teams, business stakeholders, and project leaders to define requirements and deliver scalable ERP solutions.
- Architect SAP solutions that support business processes, improve operational efficiency, and maintain system integrity.
- Perform technical configuration, troubleshooting, testing, optimization, and ongoing support across SAP environments.
- Manage data migration activities, system integrations, interface support, and technical documentation.
- Establish technical standards, review solution options, and ensure adherence to quality assurance and security best practices.
- Oversee SAP security requirements, user administration, role management, and compliance with access controls.
- Provide leadership and guidance to SAP ABAP developers and technical teams, including mentoring and performance development.
- Coordinate external vendors, consultants, and technical resources to ensure successful project execution and SLA compliance.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, create executive-level presentations, and communicate technical strategies clearly across teams.
- Support end-user and IT team training on new capabilities, processes, and system improvements.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is a senior SAP professional with extensive ERP architecture experience, strong technical leadership abilities, and the ability to operate effectively across business and technology teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in SAP technical leadership, ERP systems, and enterprise technology environments.
- Extensive experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations, ERP migrations, solution design, and system harmonization.
- Strong knowledge of SAP architecture, technical support processes, data migration, integrations, and system optimization.
- Experience with SAP ABAP development leadership and technical team direction.
- Understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, portfolio management, and organizational change management.
- Experience participating in PMO structures, business steering committees, or enterprise governance models.
- Strong ability to create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and executive-level presentations.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
- Experience with ERP platforms such as Oracle EBS, JD Edwards, or similar technologies is preferred.
- Familiarity with financial planning and consolidation systems, supply chain platforms, manufacturing execution systems, or related enterprise applications is a plus.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.
