SAP Basis RISE Administrator

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SAP Basis RISE Administrator based in the United States.

This role provides technical administration and support across SAP landscapes, with a focus on SAP RISE and hybrid cloud environments.
You will help maintain reliable, secure, and high-performing SAP systems through installation, upgrades, configuration, monitoring, and technical support.
The position combines hands-on SAP Basis administration with database migration, disaster recovery, security, and system integration responsibilities.
You will work with internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders to resolve technical issues and implement changes using established best practices.
The role also contributes to SAP architecture, data models, interfaces, audit readiness, and ongoing system improvements.

This is a fully remote opportunity requiring occasional after-hours on-call support.

Accountabilities:

The SAP Basis RISE Administrator will provide comprehensive technical support across SAP environments, maintaining system availability, security, performance, and compliance while supporting ongoing transformation initiatives.

Provide overall technical administration and support for SAP landscapes.
Install, upgrade, configure, and maintain SAP systems and related infrastructure.
Support SAP RISE environments, including SaaS transformation initiatives and hybrid cloud configurations.
Respond to customer inquiries and resolve SAP technical issues in a timely manner.
Provide after-hours on-call support as required.
Implement performance monitoring and system configuration solutions.
Introduce technical changes using established SAP and IT best practices.
Evaluate and design interfaces between SAP systems and external applications.
Maintain SAP data architectures and process models.
Install and configure required SAP database and application servers.
Support database migration activities, including Oracle-to-HANA migrations.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery capabilities and procedures.
Perform daily system security checks and address identified issues.
Collaborate with internal and external audit teams to ensure applicable audit requirements are met.
Use scripting and automation to support system administration and operational efficiency.
Work independently on technical issues while collaborating effectively with broader teams.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is an experienced SAP Basis professional with strong RISE and hybrid cloud expertise, solid troubleshooting abilities, and the communication skills needed to work independently and collaboratively.

5–7 years of professional experience providing overall technical support for SAP landscapes.
Hands-on experience as an SAP Basis RISE Administrator.
Experience with SAP RISE, including SaaS transformation projects and hybrid cloud environments.
Experience with database migrations from Oracle to HANA.
Knowledge and experience with disaster recovery.
Familiarity with ITIL and ServiceNow.
Experience with scripting, including Bash and PowerShell.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment.
Commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and regular performance improvement.
U.S. citizenship is required due to government contract requirements.
Willingness to comply with required drug and alcohol testing in accordance with applicable laws and employment requirements.
