About the Position

This is a part-time (15 hours/week), unpaid internship beginning in October 2025. The Content & Programming Intern will play a key role in shaping Sam’s user-facing experiences, ensuring our content and resources are thoughtful, emotionally resonant, and practically useful. This role supports the Head of Content & Programming in refining the structure, voice and quality of Sam’s platform content – from wellness tools to caregiving resources to live events.

You’ll contribute to editorial development, tool co-creation, and Expert onboarding, as well as testing and refining user flow and content strategy across the platform. This role is perfect for a creative and mission-driven storyteller who finds joy in shaping thoughtful content and crafting meaningful experiences—and is excited to learn and grow within a fast-paced, purpose-led startup.

Key Responsibilities

Content Editing & Development – Review and edit user-facing articles, tools, and resources for clarity, tone, and brand alignment.

Digital Content Co-Creation – Collaborate with subject-matter experts to shape resources, guides, and tools that integrate wellness and practical support.

Event & Program Support – Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing the Sam Speaker Series and live events, including logistics, outreach, and post-event communications.

Quality Assurance & User Experience – Test content for readability, formatting, and navigation flow across the platform.

User Research & Feedback – Synthesize insights from focus groups and translate findings into improvements for content and programming.

Contributor Onboarding – Support new expert contributors by managing documentation, communications, and content integration.

What You Will Gain

  • Mentorship from a seasoned leader in emotionally intelligent content strategy and user-centered design.
  • Exposure to the full content lifecycle – from ideation and co-creation to quality assurance and user feedback loops.
  • Hands-on experience shaping a digital platform that impacts real women navigating complex life transitions.
  • A robust portfolio of writing, editing, and content development work in a high-visibility, early-stage venture.

Who You Are

  • A graduate or current student with 5+ years of hands-on experience in areas such as:
    • Editorial writing, digital content, newsletters, or publishing
    • Content strategy or UX writing for web/app platforms
    • Curriculum, wellness, or women-focused programming
    • Event planning, speaker series, or workshop coordination
  • A thoughtful communicator with strong attention to tone, clarity, and emotional nuance—able to adapt language to meet users where they are.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, able to follow editorial guidelines, track multiple projects, and provide helpful feedback to peers and collaborators.
  • Curious, empathetic, and user-focused, with a desire to learn how to craft digital content and experiences that resonate emotionally and deliver practical value.
  • Proficient with Google Suite and collaborative workflows; bonus if you’ve worked with design tools like Canva, or contributed to building a digital platform.

How to Apply

Please submit your resume and a brief but compelling cover letter addressing:

  • Why Sam’s mission aligns with your expertise and ambitions.
  • An example of a time you developed, edited, or contributed to a piece of content, tool, or event—and what you learned from the process.
  • Any relevant portfolio links or writing samples.
