This role is part of a Sales Development Program designed to prepare you for growth into an Associate Licensing Director position within 18–24 months. As a Sales Development Representative, you will play a key role in generating high-quality sales opportunities, engaging with prospects, and building strong sales pipelines. You will act as the first point of contact with potential clients, providing valuable insight into music licensing and helping to qualify leads for the sales team. With initial training provided in Los Angeles and the flexibility to work remotely, this role offers a dynamic environment where you will gain essential sales skills and exposure to the music rights industry.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting business development by identifying, qualifying, and nurturing leads. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Driving lead generation activities and cultivating quality opportunities for the sales team.
  • Conducting outreach to prospects through calls, emails, and social media channels.
  • Identifying decision-makers and influencers within prospective organizations.
  • Introducing the company, understanding prospect needs, and qualifying opportunities.
  • Developing leads from marketing campaigns and researching potential music usage.
  • Scheduling meetings for Licensing Directors to advance opportunities.
  • Managing all activities, notes, and accounts accurately in Salesforce.
  • Maintaining a well-organized prospect pipeline to maximize engagement.
  • Following sales scripts, cadences, and outreach sequences using Outreach.io.
  • Continuously learning and developing sales skills to prepare for future growth into senior roles.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn. Essential qualifications and skills include:

  • At least 1 year of professional work experience, preferably in sales or phone-based roles.
  • Strong phone and email communication skills with the ability to manage high call volumes.
  • Proficiency in navigating the internet and social media platforms.
  • A coachable, flexible, and growth-oriented mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com and Outreach.io is a plus.
  • Experience working in a remote environment is advantageous.
