As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Surgimate, you will play a pivotal role in generating qualified pipeline opportunities for our sales team. Often serving as the first point of contact for potential clients, you will be a key brand ambassador, creating meaningful first impressions and setting the tone for a consultative sales process.
Your creativity, professionalism, and communication skills will be essential in cutting through the noise to engage busy prospects. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment where organization, persistence, and authenticity are key. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, enjoys the art of outreach, and takes pride in building the foundation of customer relationships.
You’ll work closely with both the marketing and sales teams to develop personalized outreach strategies, improve messaging, and continuously enhance lead generation efforts. You'll also contribute insights from the front lines to help inform content and campaign development.
What you’ll do:
Research and identify high-potential prospects within target markets
Execute a structured cadence of outreach across email, phone, and social channels
Craft compelling, personalized email copy and call scripts to maximize engagement
Make outbound calls and send emails to generate interest and qualify prospects
Respond to and nurture inbound leads, qualifying them for further sales activity
Schedule high-quality introductory calls and product demos with sales executives
Accurately record and update prospect interactions in CRM and sales engagement platforms
Follow up with prospects who expressed interest but did not convert initially
Collaborate with sales and marketing to launch and optimize lead generation campaigns
Support logistics for in-person events or campaigns as needed
Share frontline insights to help shape marketing content and campaign strategies
Join calls with Account Executives to learn from and support the sales cycle
About you:
1+ year of experience in a Sales Development or similar role within an Enterprise SaaS company
Experience selling in the healthcare technology space, particularly Electronic Health Records (EHR), Practice Management Systems, or Revenue Cycle Management solutions
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong cold calling and email outreach capabilities
High level of attention to detail and organizational discipline
Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
Comfortable receiving and acting on feedback
Enthusiastic about learning, growth, and professional development
Positive attitude and resilience in the face of rejection
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
Copywriting or content development experience
Familiarity with sales engagement tools (e.g., Outreach, Salesloft, HubSpot, etc.)
Experience in a collaborative team environment with shared revenue goals
