Sales Commission Manager

You're comfortable translating complex commission structures for salespeople, own the monthly close process end-to-end, and thrive working cross-functionally with Sales, Revenue Ops, Finance, and Payroll. What You'll Do<ul><li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;">Calculate commission payments, manage MBO and BDR bonuses, deferred contract costs, and commissions expense using CaptivateIQ commissions software.</li><li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;">Manage multiple sales compensation plans and ensure accurate monthly sales compensation statements.</li><li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;">Establish the yearly compensation plans and sales hierarchy in the CaptivateIQ system.</li><li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;">Prepare all commission-related journal entries and post to NetSuite (or comparable ERP) each close cycle.</li><li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;">Maintain balance sheet reconciliations for deferred contract costs and commission accruals.</li><li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;">Support commission calculations for NetBrain's channel and reseller partner deals in addition to direct sales.</li><li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;">Drive automation and initiatives to reduce the monthly closing cycle.</li><li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;">Reconcile monthly commission payments to the payroll register.</li><li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;">Monitor the Commissions inbox and respond to commission questions in a timely manner.</li><li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;">Build and maintain strong working relationships with all departments, especially Sales and Revenue Ops.</li><li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;">Produce ad hoc reports, reconciliations, and analyses as needed, including reviewing deal terms, reviewing commissions calculations, measuring performance against sales quotas, and ensuring commissions are paid timely and in accordance with plan provisions.</li><li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;">Support financial audit related to accrued commission and deferred contract costs.</li><li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;">Manage customer collections, proactively communicate with customers and sales, and manage the Accounts Receivable email inbox.</li></ul> What You Bring<ul><li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;">Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 6 years with a Master's degree.</li><li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;">Hands-on experience with commission/compensation platforms (CaptivateIQ or similar) strongly preferred.</li><li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;">Working knowledge of NetSuite or a comparable ERP system for journal entries and account reconciliations.</li><li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;">Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Salesforce or CPQ systems for reviewing deal and contract terms is a plus.</li><li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;">Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate complex commission structures, quota logic, and respond to salespeople's compensation inquiries.</li><li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;">Strong attention to detail and ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Revenue Ops, Finance, and Payroll.</li><li style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Manual Dexterity: Repetitive motion of wrists, hands and fingers for using a computer.</li><li style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Stationary Tasks: Sitting for extended periods, remaining in a stationary position.</li></ul> What We OfferOur comprehensive compensation package is vital in how we recognize our people for the impact they make on us reaching our goals as a company.For this role, the estimated base is $110,000 – $135,000 + Bonus.
