This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Safety Manager in the United States.

The Safety Manager will oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive safety and risk management programs across multiple locations. This role ensures compliance with occupational health, industry, and regulatory standards while fostering a culture of safety excellence. The ideal candidate will conduct audits, inspections, and safety meetings, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions. Collaboration with operational teams and regulatory agencies is key to maintaining safe work environments and minimizing risks. This position requires both strategic oversight and hands-on involvement, balancing administrative responsibilities with field assessments. Travel across the US and Canada is expected, allowing the manager to engage directly with teams on-site and ensure consistent safety practices.


Accountabilities:
  • Identify, prioritize, and implement safety risk reduction initiatives across all operations.
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and meetings to evaluate performance and compliance.
  • Assist branches in developing programs that comply with OHS, OSHA, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison with governing and regulatory entities to ensure adherence to industry standards.
  • Develop systems for tracking workplace inspections, incident reporting, and corrective actions.
  • Support branches in maintaining recognized safety awards and certifications.
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual safety reports as required by regulations or company policy.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge and experience in occupational health and safety management. Required qualifications include:
  • 6 to 10 years of experience managing Occupational Health and Safety programs.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business, health, or related fields preferred.
  • CSO (Construction Safety Officer) certification or industry equivalent; additional HSA or CSA certifications preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of CORE, OHS, OSHA regulations, and industry safety standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, teamwork, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to analyze safety performance, recommend corrective actions, and implement follow-up assessments.
  • Physical capability to perform moderate lifting, standing, walking, climbing, and other warehouse/field activities.
