GEV Wind Power is seeking skilled Rope Access Technicians to join our Wind Turbine Blade Division. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about renewable energy, equipped with IRATA or SPRAT certification, and experienced in high-angle work. You’ll play a crucial role in inspecting, maintaining, and repairing wind turbine blades, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met.
Job Responsibilities
100% travel to wind farms across the United States and Canada.
If Level 3, will work as the Ropes Supervisor.
Perform rope access work on wind turbine blades, including inspections, repairs, cleaning and other services.
Conduct composite repairs, including sanding, filling, and finishing to maintain blade integrity.
May perform other work on wind turbines, that are accessible only by ropes.
Document and report findings, repairs, and maintenance activities accurately.
Ensure compliance with company safety protocols and IRATA/SPRAT standards.
Collaborate with team members and site managers to complete projects efficiently.
Maintain and inspect tools, equipment, and rope access systems for functionality and safety.
Travel to various wind farm sites across North America as required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
IRATA or SPRAT Level I, II, or III (required).
Minimum of 1 year working in industrial rope access environment (constructions, wind cleaning, forestry, etc.)
Comfortable working at heights.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively.
